Riverdale: Chapter Seventy: The Ides of March (2020)
Bring Chrissy Maroon and Evan Kyle back!
This is one of the best episodes in my opinion. It was very well written and I hope to see more of Chrissy Maroon and Evan Kyle.
Riverdale: Chapter Seventy-Four: Wicked Little Town (2020)
Of you don't like it, don't watch it.
I loved this musical episode almost more than the last one. The first song was a little unfitting but so well filmed. I live the fact that almost every character had at least one line. I think the second song and performance was unorganized but the meaning of it- perfect. You can really feel Kevin's anger and frustration.
The third song was just AMAZING, casey performance and voice is everything. The kiss he gave Archie was just so impulsive and hilarious and I love the fact that everyone cheered him on.
The sleepover song was also made very well. But I think the background music should've been a lot louder. You can almost only hear their voices. The song was so fitting for the scene.
Pop's song: Very fitting for Cheryl and Toni to sing. Madelaine's voice works well with the song and I loved that the cheerleaders came back.
Exquisite Corpse was just absolutely amazing. I think the start came a little too quickly after Jughead's line but the lyrics just fit so perfectly with both couples fights. I think all of their voices fit so well together when they sing the chorus. You can really feel the tension coming of Betty and Jughead's shoulders as they're literally screaming at each other. Veronica's anger is so strong and her body language is amazing. I actually don't understand why Archie is mad. Honestly, he has no right to be. But the song fit for KJ's voice. Even though he's really not my favorite singer..
The origin of love... Lili's part was absolutely angelic. But KJ and Lili's voices did not go well together in this one. I don't think the song was powerful enough for them to kiss and that it should've taken a lot more. The chemistry was just not there. I don't actually mind the kiss (like I don't really care, it's just a show. Not life and death.) but I think it was wrong of the both of them. Veronica and Jughead do everything in their loser to keep Archie and Betty safe but as soon as they fight A & B go straight back to each other.
Same goes for Wicked Little Town. Not enough chemistry. And not the best duo. But I also shave that much cons. It's a regular romantic song. Nothing that special actually.
The last song had a great performance, I liked seeing the core four together like that. But the song and lyrics didn't really get to me like the last musical episode did. But I also have no complains.
As for the 'Barchie' part- the next episode is called "Lynchian" which is a type of filmmaking that makes images emphasize a dreamlike quality of mystery or menace. That's what all of their scenes are like. In the next episode they're going to jump between flashbacks and today time of them when they were younger. But I do thinks it's mostly imagination and that Charles has something to do with it.
I keep seeing thing like "Singibg all the time, really?" Like duh, it's a MUSICAL EPISODE. If you don't like the show then just don't watch it. Don't make it harder than it has to be.
