The Flash (2023)
Great plot, horrible lead
This movie has a great plot, cool cameos, and some great Batman stuff.
But everything about Barry sucks. Ezra is a trash person, so that bleeds into my initial thoughts. But Barry is just Disney unlikeable. He's not awkward-but-charming. He comes off more like a super villain origin than a heroes one. Just odd acting and character choices left and right. I didn't even want to pull for him. I just kept calling him a creepy moron under my breath.
This plot was fun and the rest of the cast deserved better than this. And the CGI was about on par with Episode 1 of Star Wars. After 9 years of waiting, I'm disappointed.
Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021)
They stuck the landing
There was a lot going on in this movie. A lot. It works have been easy to let something get away or lose plot or emotional impact. But they nailed it. I had an absolute blast.
Cobra Kai (2018)
Rediculously engaging
I was not interested in the Karate Kid movies one way or the other, but Cobra Kai is a whole new world. It's rediculously engaging. Just do it. It's awesome.
Saved by the Bell (2020)
A little too "Zack Morris is trash"
The fun of the original show was that it was fun and silly and enjoyed itself. This just feels like a mix of mocking the original (in a mean way) and ultra-woke preaching. I'm 3 in, and I'm hoping to be wrong, but I need a bit more depth and less mind-blowingingly stupid content from the original characters.
DuckTales (2017)
My favorite show on tv
Ducktales is an amazing reboot. The humor is spot on. It references older stuff in a way that is cool if you know it and fine if you don't. The cast is unique and fun. They mix them up quite a bit as the series goes on, so it never feels stale. I wish I was a good enough writer to tell you how much I love this show.
DuckTales: Double-O-Duck in You Only Crash Twice! (2020)
My favorite episode of my favorite cartoon
This episode has it all: mystery, intrigue, ski ball. The humor was spot on. The bad guy was a perfect update. Launchpad really steals the show once again.
Back to the Future (1985)
A perfect movie
Back to the Future is a perfect movie. Timely and timeless. Funny and action-packed. Unique characters. I've watched it 100 times and have no plans to stop
