Five Nights at Freddy's (2023)
All a huge fan could have wanted from a movie!!
Been a fan of the games since they first came out and honestly it was such a great experience, there were plenty of small details/easter eggs that I really appreciated. Matthew Lilliard was PHENOMENAL, just a shame he didn't get more screen time! Cinematography was great, and the tone was generally nice - it was sort of wholesome in a weird way for a movie about dead robot kids. My one complaint was that Vanessa seemed very disjointed at times, but I'm hoping all the loose ends in that respect might get tied up in any potential sequels. Anyway, I can partially see why some critics might not like this, but it isn't FOR them, and you can very clearly see it was worth the wait for many, myself included. If you like the concept of the lore, even if it's not the same as the games, this is certainly something you'll enjoy. Overall, 9.5/10, can't wait to see what comes next of this.
Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania (2023)
Just a little bit disappointing.
I mean, this movie was super hyped up and it just didn't reach that at all. Some of the writing was artificial and just unfunny ('Don't be a dick!') and all of the cities in the Quantum Realm were trying so, so hard to be Star Wars or maybe even Dune. MODOK's special effects were frankly appalling and I don't know how that got past any test views - seemed like it was there for a joke that didn't land? I'm just not really sure. The plot was pretty good though, and Jonathan Majors was AMAZING as Kang, and Paul Rudd was Paul Rudd. Was it an ok movie? Sure. Would I watch it again (unless there was nothing else available?) Probably not. Overall, it was okay. Not really sure how this happened after the great film that was Wakanda Forever.
Spider-Man: Miles Morales (2020)
Amazing.
I love this game - great graphics and story. However the playtime is actually only about 4 hours, but the time you do get is beautifully rendered and interactive.
Himouto! Umaruchan (2015)
Great slice-of-life comedy!
I love this series - it's got everything you can want from an anime like this, it's funny, it's cute and a little bit crazy! I would highly recommend it to fans of comedy anime such as myself, you won't regret watching it!
