This documentary sheds light on a career that ended too early.Co-stars like James Coburn and Robert Wagner share stories of McQueen's life. This documentary explores the hardships that McQueen went through in his days as a child and a young adult. The audience also learns about the personal demons McQueen faced as his popularity rose. This documentary also shows how the star battled cancer until the very end, and how his movies impacted some of today's top stars.

Steve McQueen shows us why he is the man.

This movie is by far the best 70's disaster movie. Fine acting by Newman, McQueen, and Richard Chamberlain keeps this action packed tale moving. This movie makes you think how you would act under these circumstances. The performance McQueen gives makes you appreciate firefighters and the work they do everyday.

Papillon (1973)
McQueen's Cool Hand Luke
26 April 2001
Papillion(McQueen) is a man who will stop at nothing to regain his freedom. This is a classic tale of a wrongfully convicted man who is sentenced for life in prison. Dustin Hoffman gives a great performance as Dega, who will do all that he can to help out Papillion. McQueen's never say die attitude makes the viewer want to see him succeed.

This movie rivals The Sand Pebbles as McQueen's best performance. Hoffman displays early signs of greatness with his performance. This movie is definetly one of the 70's best.
