Confused?
24 November 2022
I genuinely don't know why this movie is getting so much praise. Oh, wait, probably because Timothee and Luca are at the forefront. If you think about it, what were they saying about society? Like the dialogue, so cringe but lacked self-awareness. The pointless weird homophobic tropes. The shallowness and cheesy moments (that did not embrace its camp) were disguised as being poetic. Also, by the ending I felt absolutely nothing for the characters. Like they are utterly awful and I do not feel bad for Timothee crying and being sad. The CGI tears on Timothee? Sure, the cinematography was cool, but that's me pulling at strings. Besides that, bye.

Unwatchable

Lady Gaga overacted the entire time and there were a countless number of dialogue scenes that didn't go anywhere/didn't progress the story. It was genuinely one of the most dragged out movies I've ever seen.

Pretentious, plotless, & just bad.
28 January 2021
I'm sorry but whoever likes this movie... I'm confused. I'm in film school so I thought I would love this but it's just TOO MUCH. Nothing comes together at the end. It's so random and feels like a high dream... and not even in a good way. Like I get that Charlie Kaufman made this and I was expecting pretentious but this is a whole other level. If this were written & directed by ANYBODY else it would've gotten terrible reviews. I would never watch this movie again.

Perfect Episode for Jules
24 January 2021
The editing, cinematography, and screenplay was brilliant as usual. Sam Levinson is amazing but Hunter Schafer added much nuance to Jules's character; I loved how they flashed back to season one and gave us Jules' perspective on certain pivotal moments. This was one of my favorite episodes of the whole series! Hunter Schafer as Jules is NEXT LEVEL. She's incredible!
