An excellent Christmas story
4 December 2006
This a one of the yearly Christmas countdown series in Sweden, each year has a new one and they show reruns on some but never during the time normally appointed to the new one for the year. This story is based on the book with Pettson and Findus where Findus asks Pettson if Santa Claus will come with presents. Of course he says yes and then he desperately tries to make this promise come true. Other Christmas events are also in this series, Lucia and Christmas baking are only a few.

The whole story is almost magic. Every child will feel related to Findus, a rebellious cat with green pant, as every parent will feel related to Pettson who tries so hard to keep up with Findus' switching mood.

Ika Nord was perfect as Findus in her almost cheeky voice that is very pleasant for a child. Ingvar Hirdwall is almost a real life incarnation of Pettson and he clearly gives a performance that shows the feelings of a parent with a hard to control child but still has sort of a childish attitude not different from Findus.

Its clearly a match made in heaven.

Its hard to find, but it is on DVD and VHS, if you find it i strongly recommend this wonderful Christmas story.
