Ep 6 has to be rock bottom. It can only get better from here. The whole episode is of a family sitting in a dark attic with noises going on in a darker house below. The dark is so dark that you keep imagining flickers of movement. Why not make it brighter and show the audience a bit of the alien? Who wants to look at a black screen for 45 min? What an absolute waste of time. Nothing happens. Get up and cook dinner while the episode plays. Im going to try stick it out till the end because while I realise its not an action series, the story must come good. Surely they wouldnt make a series of hours of people wandering around aimlessly with extended periods of quietness and nothingness in between...surely not.

I watched it out of curiosity because my dad left when I was young and never tried to contact me. After I had a son I wondered what would drive a parent to just disappear. Really cold. I would move mountains to see my son. I would move to differant countries just to be near him. Anyway, back on track...I never felt the way these kids did. I just never gave my dad a thought. A lot of complaints have been made about the ending but I could not have thought of a better one. I took two seconds, waited for the movie to resume, then burst out laughing. As comical as it was, it was so ironic that the ending itself deserves 10 stars. Though the movie is slightly predictable, it was worth the watch just to see the ending.

I stuck it out till ep 5 because it has a good story line and it did grab me for a while, but I dont think I could sit through the next 5 episodes because of the sex scenes and the plot getting thicker and thicker and dragging on. Who has that much sex in their life? Who has that much drama in their lives? No one. The men and women are like Ken and Barby and the sexy computer hacker just touches a key and everything is magically opened to her. There is no such thing as security in voyuerland. This is a soap opera like 'Days of our lives'. If you like soapies, watch it. If not, then avoid it like the plague.

It was that slow that I stopped watching it 10 minutes from the end out of spite. This should have been a 20 min short on Tales of the unexpected. It is repetative throughout and a story done many times over. I guessed the ending as soon as I saw the bodies 3 minutes into the start. Even writing this review is painful because it is saying I have 251 characters left to get through so I am going to stretch this out to give you a taste of what this movie is like. I hope you dont stop reading it 10 words out before the end like I did with the movie because I am enjoying wasting your time like the movie did...annnnd 0.

Im guessing the bad reviews are coming from people with a happy upbringing. Emerenc reminded me of my Dutch, forever single and very private mother. She saw a lot as a child, during the war and was also very lonely. My mum was hard, but I miss her and I miss her dark, dark sence of humour. Emerenc is my mother.
