Great ending, nice story. Hallmark movies, with supernatural or magic angles are often special, and this movie is special. Although there was brief communications from the late husband, the movie did not interject any religious theme. One is left wondering if they were actually experiencing the effects of their imaginations. The relationship seem to move along at a very fast pace, even though Annie was resistant to the way she was really feeling. The chemistry between the lead actors is very good, and the children played their parts very well. I recommend this hallmark Hall of Fame movie, it is worth seeing at least once. They left her car at the beach.

A Shoe Addict's Christmas
(2018 TV Movie)
Bigger House?
14 July 2022
When Noelle visits her father, she looks at the photo of her and her mother when Noelle was a child. She is wearing red shoes, like the ones she already admired in the store. Her father says she is just like her mother, who loved shoes. Then he says if it weren't for her mother and her love of shoes they could have had a BIGGER house. Does that make sense? I think not. If she had NOT had so many shoes one would think they would not have needed as big a house as they had. Backwards! But this was an entertaining movie, especially if you like a magical theme and a bit of time travel.

Music?
29 May 2022
Cast was OK, Laura Osnes was good, but music not so much. If the lead male actor was the lead guitarist in the band that was subject in the entire movie, why was he playing bass guitar in the finale? Come on Hallmark, do better than that!
Road Trip Romance

Seen this before... not the best
15 May 2022
The HM road trip movies are pretty much all the same. This was not one of the best... I have liked Natalie Hall in other HM movies, not so much in this one. She was not likeable at the beginning of the movie, and the romance just never seemed to develop. No chemistry. The Renaissance Fair was not bad, but the awful dialect of the participants was just annoying. And HM continues to go WOKE, interracial couples that add nothing to the movie, I'm going to be turning off these movies from now on as soon as the WOKE elements are presented. Older HM much better.
A Valentine's Match
(2020 TV Movie)
Where does this movie take place?
10 February 2022
It seems that this movie takes place in Oregon (we see the plane landing at Portland International Airport when Natalie returns home). But is there a Hudson Valley in Oregon? Many times during the movie we see the sign on the barn that says "Hudson Valley's 25th Annual Valentine's Day Festival". Excuse me, but the Hudson Valley is in New York, just north of New York City.

Great movie
18 September 2021
This is a very nice movie, will watch it again. And some nice music for a change! BTW, Winter Wonderland at the very beginning of the movie is performed by the two leads, Laura Osnes and Aaron Tveit, at least according to Shazam...

Tybee Island, Georgia
6 September 2021
I'm not sure where this movie was filmed, but several reviewers say it was Tybee Island. Other reviewers say there is beautiful scenery of the South Carolina coast. Again, not sure where this is supposed to take place, but Tybee Island is in Georgia! And that is more like a two hour+ drive to Charleston, yet they refer to the trip to Charleston as an hour drive.
OK, I'm confused, but the scenery is beautiful in this film.

On the 12th Date of Christmas
(2020 TV Movie)
Nice movie... but I need clarification...
20 July 2021
Warning: Spoilers
This was a very nice movie, interesting twist to have the scavenger hunt... but am I missing something? The clues were all about things that people could do on a date, and yet they did ALL these things in one day? The hunt started on the same day as the party at the hotel, at least according to the dialogue.
If someone could please create another review and explain this to me I would appreciate it. Maybe I missed something... Thanks..

Christmas in Rome

Beautiful scenery, but many goofs
15 July 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Lacey Chabert is beautiful in this movie, but... high heels walking all over the city? The two leads literally bumping into each other at the beginning of the movie? And the obviously empty luggage? And the Hallmark staple of empty coffee or hot chocolate cups? Leaving empty handed for the dinner at Luigi's, but then being thanked for the two panettones? Riding Vespas to the Christmas caroling because that was the only way to get there in time due to heavy traffic, yet the scene shows NO traffic at all! And taking luggage (empty suitcase of course) to the caroling at St. Peter's Square, what happened to that luggage? Come on Hallmark!

Mallory and Paris are beautiful, accents not so much!
5 July 2021
Mallory Jansen is a beautiful and talented actress. She makes this movie work. The setting in Paris is wonderful, lots of nice views of the city, Montmartre especially. But could Hallmark get a French speaking actor to play a French person? Amazingly stupid that the English actor with the fake French accent can rattle off complex English sentences with no problem, then uses the simplest and most common French words to punctuate his dialog. A bientot, salut, merci to name a few... Come on! But all in all a nice movie worth watching at least once.
A Christmas Detour

Goof early in the movie
17 January 2021
Warning: Spoilers
When Paige is in the airport shop, she offers to buy the customer a copy of the magazine. Takes three dollars out, appears to hand it to the lady, then the bills are still in her hand when she walks away... Come on! How about some attention to detail! And how about the major car repairs that must have happened early Christmas morning to get them back on the road? Really?
