Weird film. Not good????
5 February 2020
Warning: Spoilers
People here make this film so much deeper than it is? There's a gamble addict who is abusive to his fling and doesn't appreciate his family. Everyone is always yelling, all these people need to do a course in communication. Everyone in this film makes bad decisions. The fascination seems deeper at first, but the player just makes it his lucky charm, that's all. Then the entirety of the film is just about solving one problem and creating 99 new ones. The ONLY impressive thing i could name was the acting. Everyone is frantically yelling at all times so that must've been tiring. The lesson in the end seems to be "gambling never pays off", which you're also taught in high school, so no need to watch this. Also Adam Sandler is somehow still like his normal character in films, but somehow added into a more pretentious script.

Very bad. just bad. no good thing to say.

Warning: Spoilers
My main pet peeve was the characters in this movie communicated in such a weird way!!! Even before the possessing started, all the decisions and conversations felt unnatural (probably because nothing was explained to the viewer).

The rest of the plot makes no sense. He got possessed. That's all. It's not really explained why? Because he found a phone? Also his girlfriend seems to be possessed too but in a totally different way? Which is also never explained.

He also cheats on his girlfriend with a girl who he seems to have history with but again, the viewer doesn't find out why what how.

I'm easily scared so there were a few scary moments i suppose, but the lack of plot also took away of the scariness.

Important.

I see some bad reviews and i think it's very important to remember that this show was made for kids. The way Noah's social anxiety is portrayed is exaggerated so that kids can empathize more with it. I personal have social anxiety and i was watching along with my little sister. I immediately thought "wow if this show was around 10 years ago my life would've been so much easier". It's so nice to see representation and mental health issues explained to kids in a subtle and enjoyable way.
