Home Inspector Joe (2022)
Terribly scripted and difficult to watch
There isn't much to say about either host. I don't even necessarily agree with the other hostile reviews. They're actors in what is essentially a D movie.
The issue here is the terribly scripted purchase and renovations.
There must be some sort of reciprocal agreement between the show and owners to purchase the worst home they can find. Who in their right mind picks two homes in such dire condition they need hundreds of thousands in repairs or upgrades, and who in their right mind tries to sell a home with mold and standing water? Even the most inept homeowner puts lipstick on a pig before putting up a for sale sign.
Making the smallest issue a life or death situation needing immediate excessively expensive repairs is difficult to watch.
Overall it's great to see a nice final product but the journey between point A and B needs a lot of work.
It's more than obvious they pick a terrible home to.make the show work and it would be interesting to see if the 'homeowners' actually own these homes.
Moon Crash (2022)
Low budget train wreck
This movie is hilarious. Particularly for 2022. I thought it maybe it was possible to get through it, even after reading the reviews. Needless to say even the poor reviews are being generous.
Wow.
I feel bad for the person who spent hours rendering the spaceship because it was actually pretty good.
There's cringe throughout.....
Duct tape on helmets and dishwashing gloves on space suits. Weird bulbous 'flat tires'.
A fisher price kids telescope.
Facilities amazingly built on a volcano and poisonous gas so they can't breathe...but yet they can through respirators with no oxygen.
Lidar as a laser weapon.
Wish I was drunk enough to make it all the way through this one, sorry.
The Curse of Oak Island (2014)
Interesting premise, horrible follow though.
I've watched portions of this show over the years but in a stopover at a hotel with nothing else on I thought... hey I'll see whats new. See all the amazing new artifacts and history that's been exposed since first tuning in some five years ago...
To my surprise.. it's like I hadn't missed a thing...
This is the most drawn out, snake oil selling, late night infomercial garbage on tv... outside perhaps the Kardashians. Just totally soaking in the gullible reality tv viewership dollars...
There's so much cringe here it makes your teeth hurt.
I'm a big history aficionado but this just hurts the brain trying to push through a whole episode.
Over five years there's a few interesting artifacts. About 15 minutes of airtime worth.
If this was a business it would be Enron.
With the historical and material prospects implied, this island should have been leveled from shore to shore four years ago.
