The Night Agent (2023– )

Laziest writing I've seen in a long time
24 March 2023
This is not just predictable it is about as painful as an 8 hour episode of CSI if one were to be made. Absolute cardboard action, acting, set design, characters and dialogue. I am wondering who is writing these 10 reviews because this is actually worse than Reacher to be honest.

I guess this is hitting the target market for people who have a hard time with anything other than your most basic regular crime, spy or political thrillers or perhaps the readers of sun par books on holiday.

If you like, that's fine, I personally would rather paint dry than be able to ad lib better lines and imagine a real story that could have happened. Netflix is really scraping the bottom of the barrel lately and this is a perfect example.

I think watching this show is hazardous to your health.

I actually read the reviews of the books. And if you sort by lowest stars it is quite amusing. Terribly written. Absolutely poorly directed. It is like Hallmark made a payback film and had better lighting.

Watch with caution.

Criminally bad.

Terrible from start to finish. I can't believe how they can completely drop the ball on all three films with Margot Robbie.

Do not bother. You will want the two hours of your life back.

Finally. This is the DC universe we need.

Seriously it is a long movie obviously, but worth every minute. So many gaps are filled in from the mediocre original from 2017. So much good backstory information. So many new scenes that make it plausible.

Take the time to watch it.

What a waste of talent

Great idea. Poor execution. Amazing actors. Terrible dialogue. 10 episodes of absolutely nothing happening.

Very few series have gotten me like this.

This is Mr. Robot and Patriot level perfection. There is not even a second of wasted time. Everything is perfectly done.

Do not miss this. Also take your time. 2 episodes a day to let the brilliance sink in.

DC drops the ball again.

Not even one character that is genuine and well scripted.

If you want to just be bored by same tropes over and over again: parents don't listen, kids don't follow rules, angry guy etc......

Crap writing and terrible production.

This is about as bad as it gets.

It's like the terrible Christmas reunion special that gave you explosive bouts running to the toilet.

Even hate watching this while drinking is nearly impossible.

Totally underwhelmed

Season one was probably a 7/10. But season two? 2/10.

What a rubbish pile of acting and dialogue. The premise was fantastic but it fell so short of the mark. Basically the main actors had one tone of voice: angry super hero.

Poe still remains the only decent part of the show. Watch it if you've got nothing better to do. Netflix should invest their money in better ways.

Beautiful cinematography but....

Warning: Spoilers
It's just a guy going out into space with a few stops deal with daddy issues.

It could have been so much more.

For some reason it reminded me of vanilla pudding. It's good but doesn't really do much.

Watch it for the cinematography but the rest is just pointless fluff.

Just a big old YES from me for this show.

Strong writing. Great acting. Amazing cinematography. Suspending reality in weird ways. Creating a campy rock-a-billy throwback era. Could even say world building.

Just loved it. It needs a second season.

It's up there with Preacher as one of my favorite shows.

There is nothing about this film I do not like. The score. The tension.

The fantastic cinematography.

The tension.

Best film of the decade.

Witty. Funny. Dramatic. Appealing. Action packed.

No apologies.

I deeply enjoyed this.

Great idea very poor execution.

A cast of great actors. Terrible wardrobe. Silly subplots. Bad, I mean 1980's bad BBC sets. Dialogue that is painful. Comedic relief is mediocre.

Yet. It's worth watching for a no brain evening. I did get attached to some of the characters but really it was hard to care about the story.

If you've got nothing better to do and some time to kill, watch this. It's easy TV.

They really could have put some more effort into it.
