If you want an art piece that leaves vomit in your mouth...

I'm sure there are plenty of people who would obscurely appreciate this movie. But, it's highly disturbing and demented.

This is the kind of thing that you watch and you think about later, when you are eating and lose your appetite.

Sure, it has depth, but in order to understand all if that, you have to press through the shock value.

Accurate depiction of Omaha

I have lived in Omaha my entire life and it is very much so, racially divided.

Redlining in the past, people looking to continually move West to get away from "violence" still to this day. There is rarely any money invested into sustaining the poorer neighborhoods.

We have mayor who would rather demolish the face of our city than provide any sort of boost in preservation of any of these neighborhoods.

When I was younger, gangs, drive by shootings, vandalism, theft and more were rampant in my north Omaha neighborhood. It's gotten a little better, but not much!

This is a great example of the challenges these young men face.

If you want to get carried away

I found this movie exceptionally refreshing. The adaption of the idea of Eddie Dobson was intriguing and mysterious. At times, subtle, the movie captivated my attention (hard to do) and I couldn't take my focus off of what was entertaining me. As many movies as I watch, many movies have become background noise, this is not one of those movies. A well played cast, Jim Sturgess is charming and his dialogue witty. I developed a connection with both his and Isabel Lucas' characters. If you want fast action, pass. This is a warming plot that heats up as it advances. If you like curiosity and underdogs, although troubled, this is your movie. Don't let the other reviews scare you away, give it a chance.
