The Cleaning Lady (2022)
A culturally diverse setting that puts you in their shoes
Of course I watched the 1st episode because of Elodie Yung's talent and resume. I was not disappointed. The storyline gets to you because it's about family and survival. The other characters held their own against Elodie's role and supported the plot. There was murder, drama, action, explosions, and unpredictability and a mother's love for her stricken son. I'm IN.
Impulse (2018)
Impulse: An unlikely cinematic feast
This isn't a stereotype superhero series although Linderman's character views it that way which is charming but the the series is played out quite the opposite. The lead character could be anyone who finds him- or herself similarly affected and her responses are realistic enough to relate with. The series provides great balance between the strengths of each character thereby delivering a powerful authenticity. I was riveted to each and every episode which is a big deal for me because I grew up on superhero stuff but this actually captured me because of its realistic rawness. I want to see yet another season of Impulse. Kudos and props to the entire cast, the crew and the producers. Congratulations!
Stumptown (2019)
Episode 1 hit like a car-jump over a bridge
I was glued to the screen by the heart-stopping slow-mo car-jump over a bridge while Neil Diamond sang Sweet Caroline in the background. It's a real boost to see Cobie Smulders in her own TV series. She has created her own brand ever since I first saw her in Avengers where she stood out among the other stars. This first episode presented a cast of characters each with their own unique strengths which contributed to the success & balance of the entire plot. The dialogue and acting was brilliant. I look forward to more of Cobie Smulders and the rest of this ensemble of great actors. Thank you to the producers for this.
