Continuity error

I really enjoyed this film but there was one obvious continuity error that I feel the director should have picked up on . I am not normally one of those people who comment on such things but in the scene where he meets the Dode on the playing field he falls in the mud because he is really sick. His jacket is covered in mud and yet by the time he meets up with the Pin by the tunnel after following the drainage ditch his jacket is spotless.

Did anyone else notice this? Or is it just me?

Besides this small point and the excessive background noise in the final scene on the playing field I enjoyed this film. It had really good clipped dialogue reminiscent of 40's noir. Straight to the point.My favourite line was where he said "I've got knives in my eyes" which I find to be just the right line to sum up the feeling where you are really tired and your eyes hurt and you just want to sleep.

Heartlands (2002)

An unexpected delightful movie

I borrowed this DVD from a mate who bought it for a pound as an ex rental.

Not expecting much (especially as Paul Shane from Hi de Hi is in it) I was surprised at how much I loved this film.

It gives you a good feeling inside and there are some genuinely touching moments as well as some funny ones.

The swing incident and the toothbrush incident especially.

Great performances from Michael Sheen,Mark Addy(great wig) and Mark Strong.

I would recommend anyone to see it especially if you are Northern.
