Better Call Saul: Saul Gone (2022)
The name's McGill
"Wow! That was a lot. This episode cemented again that this show is on it's own and nothing like breaking bad; cementing again everything this show is about. Expecting a BB type finale is wrong, and the two finales aren't and shouldn't be comparable.
I loved the whole theme about regrets. Saul finally is gone and goes back to Jimmy Mcgill, or is he? They remind us with the prisoners only knowing him as Saul Goodman that that is how he will always be remembered. That is as deep as I will go.
The only thing I will say about both this and the Breaking Bad finale, is that after finishing it felt depressing, but as time moves on, and the more I think about the ending, the more I like it...
Better Call Saul: Fun and Games (2022)
Justice For All
At first I was underwhelmed by this episode. I wasn't sure where it was going. But again that's the way this show is; masterfully written.
We got all the last pieces put down to end this era. Gus and the cartel are back on good terms, the lab can be built, Mike visiting Nacho's dad, which was devastating, and the most devastating of all, Kim leaving Jimmy.
That jump was so satisfying, but so depressing at the same time. I just felt this kinda sadness and sympathy toward Saul.
Now, we finally see how it all ends...
Better Call Saul: Point and Shoot (2022)
Most Intense Episode Ever!!!
Some people were saying episode 3 was tis show's Ozymandias, others saying episode 7. But this! This is something different! From Lalo wanting Saul to attempt to kill Gus,(he knew it wouldn't work) to Kim being the one to go; I was praying for her life! Most of us knew how the Gus - Lalo confrontation was going to end, but they still manged to make it super intense. And Lalo having a last laugh before dying was amazing!
It's amazing how much storylines they were able to close with one episode, over the span of one night. It felt like a season finale of sorts, when we have another 5 episodes left to conclude the entire show, and bringing together all the timelines!
This reminds you how well they write everything at first slow paced; slowly setting everything up untill the true BOOM!!!
The Boys: The Instant White-Hot Wild (2022)
Personally Loved It
This episode, and season in general was so much fun! That final battle was epic and unpredictable. I too, went out wanting more, so I understand why some people are dissapointed. But come on, saying that nothing happened is just not true.
Besides the action and fun, this show is very much characters based; with it's main focus on Homelander and Butcher, while also focusing on Vought and the rest of the boys. I loved Soldier Boy, but that's still the main focus.
There was a great arc for everyone: Vought turning to pieces, Homelander finally realizing his real power, Butcher facing his past, leading him to some interesting decisions; Annie; and the boys finally meeting eye to eye.
Of course we're not getting it all now, and they are preparing us for the future.
Ryan's arc was interesting too. Black Noir's death was unexpectedly sad; they still did him dirty, tho.
Barry: 710N (2022)
I don't know how to describe this
I'm pretty new to this show but damn. What an episode. Might be my favorite.
This episode hit all the right notes. The comedic timing and the humor in general were hilariously good; I laughed out loud a couple of times. That bakery guy was gold! The action was just as good, especially that whole chase; such great coreography, and even there there is great balance between the action and comedy. Great directing and visual storytelling; loved the use of mirors too.
The ending was pretty wtf and I can't wait for what's next!
Better Call Saul: Plan and Execution (2022)
Plan and Execution Indeed
I know that this episode will mostly be talked about the ending, which is incredible, but as a whole this was phenomenal!
We had 2 storylines which came together in this episode masterfully. Lalo realizes that gus will hear his call, but then realizes that his guards will all go to Gus so he can go to Saul without worries. The whole dopplegang shoot was fun and hilarious, and when the plan finally executes it is painful to watch. Howard's death was incredibly shocking, but the whole scene where he confronts Jimmy was kinda heartbreaking.
From their view Kim and Jimmy's plot was pointless and it only lead to an innocent man who was nice to them getting murdered by a guy Saul decided to help. Another example of the consequences of bad choice road.
I need to know what happens next!
Better Call Saul: Hit and Run (2022)
Ladies and Gentlemen, Saul Goodman!
Another excellent episode of an excellent show. We get a change of pace and a change of focus, whereas the first few episodes where more focused on the Nacho-Lalo story, here we're back to focus on the Jimmy-Kim story. This episode really pushes the story forward; Jimmy's scams on Howard, Kim being Followed,Gus thinking what's next, and most importantly Jimmy getting closer to Saul Goodman. Also loved Kim and Mike's first interaction, and the appearances of Wendy and Spooge. Can't wait for what's to come.
Moon Knight: Asylum (2022)
So far so good
After the twist in the previous episode I was afraid that this episode will dip in quality. However, I was wrong, and this episode might be even better. I loved the mindbending stuff, the performances, the emotional flashbacks, and the overall directing. The only problem I have is that I still worry that the finale wouldn't stick the landing because of all the storylines there are to complete. I hope that this could've been longer than just 6 episodes.
Better Call Saul: Rock and Hard Place (2022)
MIGHT BE BEST EPISODE YET!!!
This episode reminded me how unpredictable this show is! Whether you believed Nacho will die or not, nobody expected his death to be this early; furthermore to go down like this. However if you think about it, it's the best way to end his story and have it make sense for the continuity of the characters involved. This was so brilliantly written, and couldn't have been done better in any way!!
Moon Knight: The Tomb (2022)
Such an amazing ending!
The third episode might have been a bit boring but by this just gets right back to the fun. Of course it's the ending that raises the most questions' and as somebody who hasn't read the comics this is so intriguing. Can't wait to see what's next!
Hawkeye: So This Is Christmas? (2021)
Best Marvel Disney+ finale yet!
I don't know why a lot of you hate on this episode.
While you might argue that some of the other shows are better I feel that we get the best payoffs here. As a whole this is action packed with emotion in the back, and a lot of fun to watch. I feel like the character's all got there arcs: clint finally calling Kate his partner, yelena turns down her assignment, maya turning from villain to anti-hero, and even the Larpers.
Kingpin was great, I do feel like it's gonna take time for the writers to get him right, but if you're angry that Maya shot him, I don't know why you believe he's gonna die. This is just the start for Kingpin, echo Kate Bishop and Yelena belonova and I can't wait to see more!!!
Hawkeye (2021)
It's finally all here!
First of all I want to say that any review posted before December 22 is a review of somebody who hasn't seen the whole show in order to really judge.
Now this show has given me everything I wanted, expected and even more! It was lots of fun seeing Clint Barton finally in the spotlight and I really liked his relationship with kate. When those two get into action, it's always fun to watch. I loved the addition of yelena and her chemistry with Kate, as well as Maya Lopez and let's not get started about Kingpin!
P. S. I don't believe that Kingpin just died and so should you!!
Rick and Morty: Rickmurai Jack (2021)
Finally it' back!!!
This is the best episode of this season, because it's finally back with the classic vibe of the rick and morty, which the other episodes were lacking. It explains a bit why this season was turned off, and after this I finally think they're back. Evil Morty is always great, so yeah except the first third this episode is pure greatness and such a good finale. Maybe even the best episode so far...
Rick and Morty: Forgetting Sarick Mortshall (2021)
Rating it as a stand - alone episode it's just bad
I feel like a lot of the praise this episode gets is only because of the finale. If you think of this episode as just another random solo episode, it's just the whole plot's bad, boring, and tasteless. There are worse episodes, but the plot of the two crows is the worst plot in my opinion. Sorry, but I have to do this.
