great movie expresses great emotion of a young teenager vibrant characters mainly Alice. i believe there are a lot of Alice's out there in the world of teenagers. at the age of twelve a lot of girls are experiencing the pressure of not knowing if they want to face adult hood or stay a child. it could become a major struggle dealing with the fact that you are growing up. Boys is now the topic of discussion, instead of dolls during girl talk. I think Ruth Sergel did a great job with framing this movie properly so that all can relate to her characters. Alice was my favorite person in the movie. then i liked the mothers best friend Elaine. she was going to make sure Alice didn't make the same mistakes as her.
