Shingeki no Kyojin: Declaration of War (2021)
As promised, Sensei
Bad drawings, cheap animations (the Attack Titan is always immobile and, in all the scenes, only one person moves at a time, while the others stand still), obviously wrong perspective studies, wretched proportions (how long becomes Porco's arm when it breaks?), but still worthy of my perfect 10 just because of Isayama's mind blowing chapter 100.
Shingeki no Kyojin: Midnight Train (2020)
Animation feels cheap
Animation is starting to look cheaper and cheaper. Last week everyone was clowning me for saying this same thing, but then MAPPA itself admitted its production problems.
Characters feel rigid and move in a circular and jerky way. What about the suicide scene? Why didn't they bother to animate the scene where my waifu Pieck was crawling?
Anyways, it was nice to see Warriors' families, houses and relationships.
Shingeki no Kyojin: The Other Side of the Sea (2020)
WIT did it better
A very good episode, but I am not satisfied with how MAPPA handled the adaptation.
It looks like a sunny, bright, faded Studio Ghibli beach episode; contrast between characters' and settings' colours are almost non-existent, whereas it should have been a dark, shady, creepy situation; I mean: children were dying in a war.
JJK's drawings and colours were much better than this episode's.
However, the manga chapters adapted were next level, so I can't give less then 9.
I'll keep my 10 for chapter 100.
Jujutsu Kaisen: Boredom (2020)
Transition episode
MAPPA didn't put too much effort in this episode. I hope that they are investing their time, money and energy in SnK.
Tenet (2020)
Pointless, messy, rushed, emotionless, exaggerated nonsense
If anyone other than Nolan had come to the cinema with such a plot, they would have laughed in his face. But, since it's Nolan's, no one can admit it's full-of-plot-holes nonsense. Well, I'll do it: the king is naked!
