My Best Friend's Girl (2008)

Raunchiest movie I've seen and it wasn't funny at all.

I love Dane Cook when it comes to stand up comedy, but as for movies, I haven't found one of his movies that I actually laughed out loud. This movie made me feel like I should be getting sick. The dialogue was horrible and VERY derogatory against women. It was like torture having to sit through the movie. I love Judd Apatow's films and he's raunchy but he's also hilarious and not NEARLY as graphic as this movie was (in my opinion). This just really frustrates me that people put junk like that out there so young boys can masturbate to it. At least I'm guessing that's the only thing this movie is good for. If you want to watch something raunchy and funny, again, check out any Judd Apataw movie and it'll save yourself 2 hours of wasted time.

Harold & Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay (2008)

Hilarious - Much much better than the first one :)

I see a lot of people saying it was a dumb movie, waste of time, or not as good as the first one. I totally thought it was so much better than the first one, and I'm a girl! Yeah, I was the only girl there without a guy. But I had just watched the first one, and no guy was available to go with me! I am confident enough to go to such movies without a man :). Anyways, I thought it was extremely hilarious, had to groan in a few parts for the raunchiness. And as for the female nudity factor, and myself being a girl...i didn't care because I'm there for the comedy, not the nudity and Harold and Kumar were hilarious in the whole movie, so it made up for having to go through watching vagina after vagina. I thought Neil Patrick Harris shined in this movie, along with the guys who play Harold and Kumar. I was a fan of Neil's when he was the infamous teenage doctor to everyone...so it's truly hilarious to see him in the light he's put in in this movie. I thought it was funny that if there were any girls in the theater, they were with their man...i never heard one girl laugh...but I was laughing just as much, if not more, than the guys. I don't consider this just a guy movie. It's an ADULT COMEDY. I usually get tired of the fart jokes and stuff like that, but for some reason, in this movie, I thought they were extremely funny. My face almost hurt from laughing throughout the whole movie. So, I'd say, go see it, and don't think too much of what is going on (because you WILL be offended)...it's a comedy, so just have a good time :).

Monster House (2006)

A Great Movie- Not Made For Kids - But Refreshing for Adults

I loved this movie! I'm one that does not like watching scary movies.

But this was a cartoon, so what could be that scary about it? Well, I can say that if the events that happened in the movie, happened in a "real life" movie, I wouldn't watch it.

But I thoroughly enjoyed this movie because it was something I usually wouldn't watch.

This movie is definitely not for children under 8-10.

Some of the dialog even is above the children's heads who may go see it.

I just really enjoyed this movie.

If you don't expect it to be hilariously cute and funny just because it's a cartoon, you will like it :).

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest (2006)

Not as good as the first one....by far

Well, seeing as I saw someone actually say something good about the Pirates of the Caribbean 2....um, I'd like to let everyone know that if you have any good expectations for this movie, you will be thoroughly let down. I was completely let down and have never been so disappointed in a movie in my life! I LOVED the first Pirates of the Caribbean but this one was like "we've lost all our money soooo...lets end right about.....HERE!" Oh, and Keira Knightly forgot how she even talked in the first one and has a completely different accent lol. The friends that went with me couldn't believe how the movie ended up being. We went the first weekend it was out. Pirates of the Caribbean failed to make any good impact on our good time together. I thought it my duty to not let people think that movie was something that it was not...which is good.

It's a 2 just because Johnny Depp is still decent in the movie, so it's not a 1.

The New World (2005)

long story

I love history and both my boyfriend and I were excited to see this movie.

We had heard and read many good comments about it.

But when we actually got to watch it, it was 2 1/2 hours of wasted time.

Yes, the scenes were beautiful, but that cost the story line.

Sometimes I didn't know what just happened.

And if we had not had the closed captioning on, almost half the movie would have not been heard or understood.

They speak so soft that one may have missed half the movie that way.

If you want to see it for the scenery, go right ahead, but I did not benefit by watching this movie.

Poseidon (2006)

a little too violent

This movie was a great movie. But my only beef with it is that it is rated as a pg-13 movie but has the violence of a rated R movie. I am a person who does not like gory movies, and this one showed quite a bit of goriness. Even my boyfriend mentioned it and he LOVES gore.

But other than that, it was a great movie.

But if you're a little squeamish about gory things, you may need to close your eyes sometimes.

I really enjoyed the characters being played, and the actors who played them.

It was a great movie to see in the movie theater :).
