J-Horror Anthology: Underworld (2005)
Fine Asian Horror Movie Anthology. [*no spoilers*]
"J-Horror Anthology: Underworld" is a polished and well-photographed series of six vignettes dealing with the supernatural. We have a host to introduce each story, as well as to add some words of morality afterwards.
While the first "J-Horror Anthology: Legends" consisted of many five-minute stories, this film's stories each last approximately fifteen minutes, allowing for more character and story development. I think it paid-off well.
To quote a few sentences from the Netflix envelope: "Supernatural forces come out to play in this creepy anthology involving evil electronic messages, mysterious tattoos, murderous ghosts, vengeful dates, and other hair-raising happenings."
Although I do not like my horror movies to be several short stories (as opposed to one feature-length film), I did find this to be a film well-worth the viewing. I think many others will agree.
