Anything below 7 is disrespectful at this point. The depth and growth of the characters in this movie is extraordinary. John Boyega's best role (as far as range) to me. Black Dynamite meets Get Out meets Black Mirror. If you can get Erykah Badu to rewrite a classic of hers (THE classic of hers) for your movie, you scored a win. The movie is deep when it needs to be but plenty of comic relief and character development. It's pulling hard from the blaxploitation film era and a lot of the hate I am seeing looks like it stems from people that would just rather not see strong Black films. Having a solid reasoning for it not being your cup of tea is fine but in no way is the film bad. Definitely give it a chance.

What experts? The track record is abysmal and it feels like the "experts" purposely set people up that wont work for tv. Let's drop the experts line and just say some random people are setting up random people.
These people are then getting eviscerated on social media and the same judges come back and make more terrible connections. Clearly people aren't ready to be married and somehow (I assume) are being added to the show for views (people with more character). If it was done genuinely, the show would be much better. Just drop the experts and find some other gimmick because at this point, it just seems very staged.

Please don't listen to the slander from people calling this not good. This is a close to the anime as you can get and the acting was spot on. You get so frustrated with how weak Takemichi is and the live action painted that perfectly. Super excited that more is to come. This is up there with the Ruroni Kenshin live action movies.
If you have not seen the anime or read the manga, this might come off weird but still works. If you have actually taken the time to watch the anime then you should be in for a treat. It would be interesting to see scenes side by side with the anime and watch the emotion from the characters. I highly recommend checking this out and preferably after the anime.
