Joseline's Cabaret: Las Vegas (2022)
Joseline has created a brand***
It's the Peurto Rican Princess with one of the foulest mouths on tv but she has a heart of gold. Joseline does not pull any punches when she is talking to the stripper girls she selected to dance in her cabaret. She lets them know in no uncertain terms that she is the baddest bitch, and if they don't like it they can hit the road.
The vibe of the show is straight from the streets. Some of the girls have had some real rough upbringings and it is an element that surfaces throughout the season. They have many fights especially in the first few episodes where the girls iron out their differences, some of it can be hard to watch.
Some people would call this trash tv, but the concept is highly amusing and Joseline is hilarious with her off the cuff one liners.
The Tomorrow War (2021)
Great sci-fi action
I loved this movie, it had a real blockbuster feel to it. Definitely one for the big screen. The storyline is good, a nice mix of aliens attempting to destroy the world and time travel.
The acting is spot on, lead by Chris Pratt and a supporting cast. The action and humour is fast paced, which makes you forget the running time of just over two hours. Me and my wife stayed up to watch this movie and we both really enjoyed it.
If you are at home over the weekend and want a solid action movie, this is a definite recommendation!
Spiral: From the Book of Saw (2021)
Poor attempt at reenergising the franchise
I loved the first and second Saw films, but the rest have been average at best. This new attempt the bring back the franchise was poor and I am surprised that both Chris Rock and Samuel Jackson attached themselves to this movie.
The storyline and acting are shaky it felt like movie made by the lifetime channel (low budget). It started off with excitement but quickly descended into an exercise into what creative contraptions can be used to kill people, and after the second death I didn't care any more.
The franchise has been played out and I would have been upset if I paid cash at the cinema to watch this. If you want waste an hour and thirty minutes of your life then watch this film. I did a favour in scoring a five only as a nod to Chris and Sam, because I like them.
