The Events Should Match The Times
2 April 2022
Warning: Spoilers
I just started watching the show since I needed a new series to watch and I had heard good things about it. It starts off pretty slow but it seems to do a lot of things right. This episode is my least favorite out of the four I've watched so far because it promotes pornography as something 'good' and 'healthy' when it is a very harmful addiction. If this is a family show--a show that children his age is watching--such a thing should not be promoted or supported. Also, I found it unrealistic that his mother, a woman in the 60s, would not only be reading that magazine but confidently talking to her elementary grade son about it as if there was nothing wrong with it. Although now-a-days we are much more progressive, people were rather conservative during that time and that should resonate in the show.

Loved It

Warning: Spoilers
I really love this movie because I was her. I dreamed of being with the hot jock except my dream never game true lol. The Sunflower song is golden. What makes this movie so good is that not only is it relatable to all the sunflowers out there, but the audience gets a glimpse of the main characters personality. The essence of the actress resonates through the character that she plays. Her love interest is hot, yet nerdy, which made the movie a little more fun. The young lady who played the mean girl is absolutely beautiful; she did a really good job playing her role. A quirky part of the film is when you meet her family who is so different from who she is. This movie has some good one-liners. The writing is good and the picture is good too. The colors are nice. Personally, I like this one way more than To All the Boy's I've Ever Loved. Although the ending was unrealistic, the movie itself is enjoyable. It has some slow parts but the mix of one's imagination with the events of the film make it all the more fun to watch. Don't we all love a happy ending?

Worth Watching
24 March 2020
Warning: Spoilers
This movie is cornball corniness of corn corn corn. It's worth watching if you need basic entertainment. It is a teen movie but the kissing scenes where more intense than what I would want my teen to watch. The main character had more chemistry with the African American guy than the guy who played her actual boyfriend. The movie is pointless and plotless. She broke up with the guy for no apparent reason. Truth is--a high school jock is not going to chase after a girl who really has nothing to offer. The girl who plays the main character's younger sister plays her role very well. The best acting came from the old caucasian lady who gave her the dress. I hope to see her in more films; she is a natural. None of the characters were really that strong or memorable.

The picture is clean and pretty. The costume designer and setting director did an excellent job. The camera shots are not so bad either.

Great show but needs work
22 April 2019
Warning: Spoilers
I enjoy this show because there is no profanity, drug use, and sexual content, which is hard to find in most shows today. It is easy to watch and enjoy. Justine and Run's acting is TERRIBLE. I think they should executively produce behind the scenes and be replaced by two other people who can act. The kids are great. They really make the show. I got teary eyed during the scene when Skyler became candid with the interviewers for the private school she later attended.
