From a fan, not disappointing
27 November 2023
This film is primarily made for the FNAF fans. The animatronics, the characters, and basic lore of the game franchise are done justice in this film and so much is left unanswered for sequels. Personally, I have only played the first game and looked up videos explaining the lore and the fan fiction. And this film met my expectations exactly! It even had good cameo appearances of YouTubers who became big from playing the games on their channels (though I won't mention them).

I admit, there are plot holes and dumb decisions made in this film but in all honesty, the Five Nights at Freddy's franchise has been pretty well known for being campy and cheesy. In fact, that is the basis of each game's gameplay mechanics with the limited power and unsafe demeanor of Fazbear Entertainment's locations. Overall, this film is a must-see for fans of Five Nights at Freddy's.

Quite extraordinary for a family film
25 March 2023
Even though this is clearly a film for kids, I could see there was effort in the making of this film. The animation is fairly good and the writing is actually interesting and creative. The story is pretty straightforward, but there are topics discussed that an older audience would better understand such as the harsh realities of a changing society and the forensic evidence that Sherlock presents when trying to crack the cases. The main characters in this film are also interesting and three-dimensional, and the way the story goes is captivating and romantic with a few sorrowful and serious moments. Overall, this family-friendly film is definitely worth a watch.

It's mainly for kids, but was still good fun
8 October 2022
I'm in my mid-20s and I like Shawn Mendes' voice as Lyle. Having him in the film made it good to watch, but I thought it's plot could have been better. Some of the characters are not emphasized as much as I thought they would be and some of the music is a bit basic. Also, the conflict in the movie was not as climactic as I thought it was going to be in my opinion. Nevertheless, I do not think that watching the film was a total waste of time or money. It's important to keep in mind that this is a musical for kids and therefore the plot is going to be somewhat basic. If you're a Shawn Mendes fan and/or a parent who wants to take his/her kid to see a movie, it's worth a watch.

Has a good action-packed plot, but riddled with plot holes
2 August 2020
I really liked this series because it had a good blend of story and action, but it had some plot holes that got on my nerves such as how Beck avoided getting his identity disk checked on a daily basis and how he changed his attitude somewhat after the first episode. Plot holes aside, however, this is a bingeworthy series!

Rushed, but satisfying
2 August 2020
I felt like the plot was a bit rushed and had a forgettable villain, but I understand that the romance between Toothless and the Light Fury was the focus of the film and in that respect, I say that this movie brought a satisfying conclusion to the HTTYD trilogy.

Good for kids
30 September 2019
It's a typical kid show and even though the animation style is different compared to the other Dragons shows and movies, it does not disappoint and looks entertaining for kids below 10 and die-hard fans of the HTTYD series like me.

A for effort...But F for originality!
23 July 2019
This movie has amazing special effects and I could clearly see the effort put into its choreography, but its story is very clichéd and I don't think much thought was put into its writing.

It's one epic kids movie and is good for fans of the Arthurian Legend
29 May 2019
I watched it and I was quite impressed. It's long and has a lot of content for a kid's movie and is not entirely goofy like many are these days. I also think it's a must watch for fans of the Arthurian Legend because I enjoyed seeing it after reading King Arthur and His Knights of The Round Table by Roger Lancelyn Green and The Once and Future King by T. H. White. The film can be cliched at times but I could clearly see that there was effort in the writing.

It's good for older kids
9 May 2019
I watched it and it had some cheesy cliches, but I could clearly see the effort put into it and in the end thought, "This was made for kids from ages 8-11, it looks entertaining for that demographic."
