My man ripped it UP
2 April 2024
Donnell ripped it up. I can't understand anyone seeing jt otherwise. Genius. I rewinded at least 5 times to hear some of the bits again. I've seen him do standup on other shows and online, but his first solo special was different in my opinion. More insight to his style if you ask me. I was very happy I finally got to see it.

I hope there's another special otw. I have waited a long long time for this one to show up. It did not disappoint I only wished it was like an hour longer. I'ce wanted to catch him live for years but not many great artists come to the South these days sadly. And if they do it's on like a Tuesday. I hope him and Chappelle keep working together.

Just what I needed
10 July 2022
Fantastic. Bale crushed it. Jane kicked butt. The goats omg. If you like Ragnarok this is for you. Waititi gave me what I had hoped for. Truly more than a comic book movie, it explores love and loss-rather successfully. Hemsworth was born for this role and shines in many ways. I loved it!!!!

Gemini Man (2019)

See it in high frame rate for the best effect.
12 October 2019
Saw it in high frame rate 3D. Would like to see it in HFR non 3D honestly. The bike scene especially was fantastic along with most of the chase and battle scenes. However I feel that the rest of the cgi and lighting hasn't caught up to how to effectively make a HFR movie look smooth from start to finish. It reminds me of when HD first came out and some things looked incredible and others not so much. I'd like to see more films use this and see it improve as they learn how to use it effectively. Plot and acting were not the greatest but it's a fairly fast paced action movie so that is sadly typical of the genre. Will Smith is always likeable and however the they pulled off the body double was pretty cool. Overall I enjoyed it but there's room for improvement as far as how to use HFR. When it was used well in this picture it was truly a very very cool effect.

excellent show! if they come to FOX they should use same cast and crew
21 April 2008
i have fallen for this show quite hard. it has all the elements i love, with a cast that i've grown fond of. i believe this show could do well in the US, and in the news it seems that it will have it's chance. i just hope that it keeps the same cast and crew. after watching two seasons, i also can't imagine it set in any place but Vancouver, so i also hope that is kept as well. everyone has heard CIA, FBI, DEA, and similar stories of US agencies a million times over in the various crime drama shows on the air. part of what i liked about this show is that the Canadian Intelligence does some things a bit differently, and it's interesting to see what their forces are like, even if it is just fiction. Basically, I hope FOX doesn't change a thing besides giving the producers more $ to spend on the show, and obviously more exposure. keeping my fingers crossed.....

I think the Camera work is some of the best because...

i think the camera work is literally some of the best out there because it's a lot more grittier and realistic. anyone can put a camera on a tripod and focus. I think the camera angles for any given scene are very unique and give a certain feel to the show. If it were standard camera work, i think it would take away from it. I've gotten used to the way the show looks, and honestly i wish other shows would take a lesson from these guys. Their shots are always unique-you never know how you'll be viewing a scene. It may be from a cop's point of view as they get out of their car, or from the innocent bystander across the street thru their screen door as they watch a crime going down. It gives this show a look like no other, and even tho i've heard that the next season will be the last, i wish they would stick around for a bit longer. If the Shield can't continue, then it would make me really happy if the same crew went on to make another show together. I love the Shield, and I think that all these people complaining about the way the camera shots look just don't have any imagination. I wish more shows had more imagination than the standard "camera on tripod set up at the perfect angle to capture everyone in the scene" type look. Come on, how is that realistic. The Shield is top notch in my book.
