Why on earth would you make a documentary praising and glorifying an idiot who defied all warnings from the government to NOT visit that island, telling him he would definitely be killed if he went there? Visiting that island is strictly forbidden, and he knew this, but decided to break the law anyways, all so he could preach some false gospel to people who have no interest in Christianity. John made a stupid decision to potentially endanger the locals of the island, and he paid the price. This documentary should never have been made, let alone show him in a positive light, which could inspire others to copy him.

Didn't answer and questions, only set up season 2
17 May 2023
Warning: Spoilers
This series is odd to me. They billed it as this mysterious machine that tells you your destiny, and no one knows where it came from. I thought "they gotta answer that question right? At some point?" But no, they actually don't. The whole season is about the intertwined lives of the local town, and the mysterious machine is a side thought. I'll admit, the personal stories and the intertwined lives were somewhat interesting, but most of the time I just didn't care. And also, is this supposed to be a comedy? No real laughs from this either. Mostly just sad really. If I had to describe this show in one word, it would be "meh". Maybe they'll finally tell us what's up with the machine in season 2? Who knows if they'll even make a season 2.
One of the most beautiful episodes of television ever made
30 January 2023
Warning: Spoilers
I don't think I've seen a greater love story so beautifully done in a tv episode like that. From start to finish, this episode was a roller coaster of emotions. Nick Offerman gives one of his most powerful and vulnerable performances I've ever seen (and I'm a huge parks and rec fan). Even though this episode deviates from the game, it still is done so well, that I actually prefer this version over the game.
When you watch this episode, bring lots of tissues, because you will cry your eyes out. It's that emotionally wrecking. But you will come out the other side more appreciative of the loved ones around you, and more.
