A very good show
28 December 2000
I am quite a big fan of Hercules. I wouldnt of found out about Hercules if I hadnt found out about its sister show, Xena:Warrior princess. When I first got into Xena I found out that it was a spin off of Hercules. Since I thought Xena was so good I checked out Hercules. I was very impressed. I dont think Hercules is as good as Xena, but overall it is still a good show. It is filmed in New Zealand, and stars Kevin Sorbo as Hercules. Another frequent charecter in the show is Lolaus (Michael Hurst) who is Hercules' best friend/sidekick. Both lead actors portray their characters very well. Other characters in the show include the god of war, Ares (Kevin Smith) the goddess of love, Aphrodite (Alexandra Tydings) Autolycus (Bruce Campbell) and many others. Also, Xena (Lucy Lawless) and Gabrielle (Renee O'Connor) who are the two female leads in Xena have guest starred on Hercules a few times before, and also characters in Hercules have appeared in Xena. It is a shame that Hercules has now been cancelled, but now Kevin Sorbo can be seen in Andromeda, as the lead charecter, Dylan Hunt.

Pretty good.....
9 November 2000
I only watched this film when it was on telly because I am a big fan of Renee O'Connor who had a biggish part in it, and I wanted to see more of her work in films, but I wasnt really expecting this film to be good. But I was in for a surprise - I think the film turned out to be really good - with some good action scenes - and the acting from everyone - especially Larry Drake (Durant) was brilliant. I have heard that the first of the "Darkman" triology (there is also a third which I also recommend) is the best, directed by Sam Raimi, so I would like to see that too, but this particular film blew me away. I really would recommend it, and give it 9 1/2 out of 10. Look out for some great scenes between Darkman and a bad guy - Ivan. Overall, the whole film is great, and if you are a fan of Renee O'Connor, then you would like it because her performance in it is really good.

Xena: Warrior Princess (1995–2001)
Best show in the xenaverse!
13 October 2000
Xena:Warrior princess is the best show ever! Great acting, scenery, plotlines and charecters make it the best. It is a shame that people always put it down. I reckon that people just tend to think that is a whole load of fighting and action. They dont look further in to it. I dont mean to sound like a nutcase, but Xena is also about greek mythology (although it isnt always 100 percent correct)and other issues. Lucy Lawless and Renee O'Connor (Xena and her best friend/sidekick/bard Gabrielle) play their parts excellently. Incase your new to Xena, the basic story is that xena used to be bad, really bad, until she sees the error of her ways, and becomes good, thus teaming up with the saintly Gabrielle, who is a bard, runs away to join xena to seek adventure, and record her adventures. Although they are chalk and cheese, they are still best friends(and some people think alot more - I'm not sure on that yet!)Through the seasons - they die, have children, die some more, kill, travel the world, kill some more etc ect. Gradually, Gabrielle does become more warrior like, and frequently changes her costumes through the seasons. Plus - I think Gabrielle has died more times that anyone else on xena. There are also many supporting charecters - Callisto (Hudson Leick) Joxer (Ted Raimi) Autoyclus (Bruce Campbell) Ares (Kevin Smith) Aphrodite (Alexandra Tydings) and many more. Personally - my favorite charecter is Gabrille. She is really funny, and I think Renee O'Connor is a great actress, and portrays Gaby really well. Overall, it is an excellent show. I recomend it for all! 10/10 jaffa_freak
