I never comment on movies that I think are bad because if you can't say anything nice then don't say anything at all.
Quite a few people have complained about this movie, they find factual flaws, I mean, come on what do you expect? Someone actually commented that Chicago will not be as advanced by 2035 and that is a flaw. Hello? This is a movie about robots that are super intelligent and super fast and super strong and very agile. Is that anywhere close to our reality? No, wake up, it's a movie, not reality! It's suppose to be fun to watch and I think people should watch it. Don't expect any great message to be sent to you which will open up your minds and you will end up being a better person. It's entertainment. You want to enlighten yourself, go read a book, something serious, maybe a classic.
Here's what this movie also had that you probably don't see in the trailer cause the trailer shows you that it's got LOTS OF action, which it does, but it's also got suspense elements and some good comedy. The suspense in this movie is well done, you actually become interested in knowing who the culprit is and you don't get bored. On top of that, it's funny, Will Smith is a very sharp and witty guy, he always plays the sharp and witty guy, and it's fun to watch him be the sharp and witty guy. Plus we have a very small part played by Shia Lebeouf, the kid from Even Stevens, he delivers lines really well. I wish he had more time on screen with Will, they were really funny together. On top of all of this, obviously, it's got action. I mean tell me one person that will look away when you see this Will Smith in his futuristic AUDI driving in a tunnel at amazingly high speed with 5 robots trying to kill him. Even people who complained about it as being bad action didn't look away so I am sure you won't find it dull and boring either. And everything is well paced, it's not like the movie slows down. You see some action, then you see something serious, something emotional and then something funny and then you're back to some more action. There is no dull or boring period in the movie, which makes it fun to watch.
People stop complaining about this movie. It's a better movie than I had expected. I like it and I am almost sure you will too if all you want to do is go have a good time watching a good movie.
