Like many people I know, I think Home Alone 1 & 2 are classic comedies and getting a new cast would make the 3rd installment not as good as the others. How wrong could I be?!? Home Alone 3 is much better than the first two put together! Culkin had cheekiness to him but Alex D. Linz has cuteness which makes him great with the bad guys. Pesci and Stern were also great but the new bad guys pulled it off. Olek Krupa, Rya Kihlstedt, Lenny Von Dohlen and David Thornton make the excellent team. Though they are intelligent with all their high-tech gadgets, they have no sense between them (so now Alex is able to foil their plans). All are great but Von Dohlen and Thornton are the funniest of all the bad guys and they'd make a great comedy duo. In addition to the new cast is Alex's pet rat Doris and his brother's (Seth Smith) pet parrot to help him. The parrot has some of the most funniest lines of all and confuse the bad guys in the process. This movie is a real kids pleaser but adults will enjoy it too.

Don't be put off by what some people say about Wild Wild West, it is a really great movie. The cast is brilliant, the story is fab and the special effects are dazzling! I didn't think the combination of Will Smith and Kevin Kline would work but actually they make an amazing, funny duo. Kenneth Branagh is the best baddie ever (I just love that accent). The only thing that is wrong with this movie is Salma Hayek. I found that she spoilt it a bit and the only thing she was good for was setting up Smith and Kline with some jokes (which were very funny). Well rent Wild Wild West and see for yourself. You might be surprised.
Leaving Normal

Moving, funny and sweet

When I watched Leaving Normal, I found that Meg Tilly and Christine Lahti made the perfect best friend team. Tilly and Lenny von Dohlen made the perfect couple, yet funny with it. Von Dohlen has some funny moments and he is very, very sweet with it (especially when he's crying in the truck after reading a sad story). This a very underrated movie that has an excellent cast.

Miles (Lenny Von Dohlen) is too great for words. He is idealist and good looking with it. He and Madeline (Virginnia Madsen) make a perfect couple. And you should be moved by Edgar the computer trying to understand what love is. To go with this already great movie is it's great soundtrack by Philip Oakey, Culture Club and Jeff Lynne. A must see movie!
