Hilarious comedy about a suspected rape investigation
24 February 2004
This story happens during 24 hours in a small town. Three guys are suspected of raping a young girl. But the things might happen a little bit different than the girl presented to the police. Investigation is than conducted by a pair of policemen - a young and relatively inexperienced one and older and experienced one. Situations which happen here are simply hilarious. Furthermore to the story are mixed other elements as a politician who wanted to pick up the girl but haven't succeeded and in the process lost secret materials, one of the suspected rapers being a groom supposed to have a wedding etc. This movie is definitely one of the best Czech (Czechoslovak) comedies of all times.

Truly classical Czech movie
2 February 2004
This movie (and its sequel) is a best adaptation of the classical Czech book The Good Soldier Svejk to date. True to the book with the best Czech actors this adaptation just can't be bested. Story follows the mishaps of the simpleminded soldier Svejk in the beginning of the 1st World War and points out the stupidity of the government and army. True movie gem.
