Very entertaining, a nice deviation on the X-Files
4 November 1999
If you're into the X-Files, alien invasions, and action/sci-fi, you'll wanna check out ENDANGERED SPECIES. It's a wild trip into an alien war between two species, the Greys and the Morphs, and the humans that intercept their intentions. There's three interlinking stories in this movie, all of which are entertaining. Debra Rochon's acting is top notch, and Joel Wynkoop does a great "Man With No Name" impersonation as a burned out hero infiltrating the radiated swamplands of Florida. All the directors do a fine job in executing their segments, budgetary restraints considered. The plot is very complex and it's recommended to view this movie a couple of times to get all the details straight in your mind. One part has some excellent stop-motion photography and animation, while another has wild action that includes karate fights, alligator wrestling, and the coolest looking alien space station I've seen on this side of the Mississippi. The flick is also pretty decent for family viewing, minor swearing and violence aside. So if you're a sci-fi fan looking for a little deviation from Scully and Mulder, get this flick and check it out.

"CREEP" - A BIG THUMBS UP!
4 November 1999
All hail to the Prince of low-budget video, the Duke of twisted storytelling and the King of gore-on-a-budget! Tim Ritter's outrageous horror-fest CREEP delivers! Kathy Willets and Joel D. Wynkoop play savage killers in this sexually twisted and graphically shocking story. Patricia Paul plays a convincing role as the stressed-out cop drawn into this sick affair. CREEP is filled with some of the most innovative twists and shocking turns of events. The story flows smoothly with each passing scene, until the climactic and STUNNING finale. Skillfully written and masterfully shot, Tim Ritter continues to prove that he is one of the better young directors in the no-budget industry. CREEP is sure to be considered one of the all-time favorites at this level! ***

Wicked Games (1994 Video)
The fans think it's watchable! Check it out!
4 November 1999
A coppermasked killer preys on the sexually promiscuous and other deviant types in this gore-packed sequel to TRUTH OR DARE. WICKED GAMES, in an unusual fashion not often seen in sequels, outshines its predecessor. As with all films by Tim Ritter, it is filled with fantastic and original carnage. Although the story takes its time in developing, most of the movie is filled with scantily-clad beauties, vicious killings, and a decent story.

Most of the time I am not a fan of low-budget shot-on-video quickies, but this one held my attention and with a little more work on the script, it could have been very enjoyable. Fans of low-budget indies will enjoy this offering, especially the gore. However, mainstream viewers probably won't.

Killing Spree (1987)
Made For Fans Of Comical Gore!
4 November 1999
KILLING SPREE is a low-budget horror flick that was shot on 16mm film. The intent of this movie is not to give you a brilliant story, although this one does have a good twist and some radical zombies returning from the dead at the end. No, the whole reason for its existence is to showcase outrageous "splatter effects" that were so popular in the '80s. While they may not be top-of-the-line, they do hold a special place for fans of this genre. Within KILLING SPREE you will find some of the most creative "kill sequences" ever committed to celluloid! Not since DAWN OF THE DEAD has there been so much over-the-top humor and glee in showcasing this kind of phony gore. So take it for what it is. If you're a fan of movies like BAD TASTE, PINK FLAMINGOS, and BLOOD FEAST, you will appreciate KILLING SPREE.
