Victor/Victoria is good old fashioned entertainment. I found it to be totally enjoyable. From the musical numbers (Julie Andrews shows off her incredible 5 octave range ) to the hilarious ending with Robert Preston. Of course I confess I would have listened to Mr. Preston read the phone book. But in Victor/Victoria he has much better lines.

wonderful coming of age story

This is a wonderful coming of age story. I am sure many identified with some part of the story, either leaving home for the first time, the loss of a parent, or first love. You really cared about the people in the story, and I found myself wondering what the future would bring for them.
