Arlington Road (1999)

Incredibly intense!!!!!

WOW!! That's all I can say after seeing this movie. Jeff Bridges is awesome as a paranoid history teacher, and Tim Robbins has the "evil look" down pat. Add good performances by Joan Cusack (surprisingly not a comedic turn) and Hope Davis, great plot twists, great acting, very good directing and you come up with one superb thriller. Very original, very haunting, great script, and some twists and turns that make this movie extremely intense. Go see it!!!!

Kiss or Kill (1997)

If Frances O'Connor and Matt Day don't get regular, steady acting work and eventually become big stars, I'll be very surprised. Despite all the other good things about "Kiss Or Kill", the two of them hold the movie together. O'Connor is sexy and tough, and Day is a solid leading man. The rest of the cast does a good job, especially the cops. The plot is a little loose, but it kind of makes you guess as to what's going on. In the end, this is a must see. Go rent it right away!!!

Dazed and Confused (1993)

Hilarious the First time, Loses some jokes on repeated viewings, but I've watched 20+ times.

You will laugh so much the first time U watch this, U will HAVE 2 watch it again, just to catch what U missed the first time. More laughs, the more you watch it.

Living Out Loud (1998)

Fairly Good, Held Together Mostly By Holly Hunter.

Holly Hunter's performance is by far the most entertaining thing in "Living Out Loud". She continues to give really good performances in every one of her films. Danny DeVito is okay, but gives an excellent and kind of funny jazz performance. The rest of the cast is rather dull, especially Queen Latifah who is very under-utilized in her role. I would recommend watching it though, a good story and some good acting hold the film together.
