The movie shows how guilty he was, but read the book by Joe McGinness. Ironically, the book MacDonald wanted written about his case actually incriminated him even more.

If you just watch this film without comparing it to today's standards of high tech special effects, it's actually kind of funny. Some of the "stunts" are so phony, they're very humorous, and the way Dr. Cyclops plays around with the little people is quite amusing. Just check it out some day when it's on American Movie Classics some day. It's not a classic, but it's entertaining.
