Ballet Parking (1985)
Anselmo's Big Screen Debut
Richard Anselmo made an historic splash in the first film he ever starred in. Ballet Parking was a masterpiece illustrating Anselmo's special skills in acting as well as driving automobiles. His facial expressions told a thousand words and were dynamic in content. This new star could be the next John Barrymore because his acting was outstanding. Bravo to Richard Anselmo in his first appearance on the big screen. It is a shame that it took 14 years until his second film was made which deprived audiences of his great thespian talents!
Happy Face Murders (1999)
Anselmo steals the ending!
Richard Anselmo stole the ending of the Happy Face Murders as the plodding newspaper reporter. For this part, Anselmo gained over 50 lbs in weight and is being compared to Robert DeNiro's part in " Raging Bull". DeNiro gained 40 lbs in that role to play the part. Anselmo's interview of Ann Margret was the highlight of a very lackluster movie. The only credibility factor of the movie was Anselmo's true to life interview.
Love Letters (1999)
Bravo on Excellent Production!
One of the hardest things is taking a play and make it watchable on television. Love Letters accomplished this with little variance from the actual play. Up and coming future star, Richard Anselmo, gave an " Oliver Type" of performance in only his second dramatic role on television. The overall acting by the leads was fantastic to say the least. Bravo on a job done well!
Free Fall (1999)
Excellent Film/Anselmo Excellent
Freefall was an outstanding made for television action movie. Smith and Boxleitter were the credited big names in the movie but up and coming future star Richard Anselmo stole the show as the sheriff. His excellent performance should garner him a Cable Ace Award. Ms. Smith once again broadened her acting abilities by once again putting in an outstanding performance. In conclusion, Freefall was an action packed made for TV movie that would have done quite well on the big screen already!
