Dragnet 1967: The Christmas Story (1967)
Season 2, Episode 15

Excellent Episode
23 June 2008
This episode is very touching and sweet. It centers around a part of a Nativity Scene in a church that has gone missing. Detectives Friday and Gannon take the case even though the item is not considered very valuable, except to the church and its members. Our detectives take the case very seriously even though others think they are wasting their time. The story takes place at Christmas time and would be excellent to watch during that wonderful time of the year. I completely recommend this episode because you will need a handkerchief after it is over. I won't say anything else, since I don't want to spoil it for anyone, but please view this if possible. Currently, this show is being shown on the television channel Sleuth.

Emotional Roller-coaster
1 November 2005
Who would have thought an 8-minute cartoon could produce such emotions? At first I was sad and really felt the depression when sweet little Porky's heart is broken. Porky takes some drastic measures, and ends up dreaming about his life with the girl he wants to marry, but doesn't want to marry him. It is funny, and then heartbreaking if anyone's life would turn out like his dream. Porky then wakes up to decide whether he still wants his dream girl. I truly felt sad for Porky and understood his decisions. I was angry at the girl, Petunia Pig, for she was only using Porky and breaking his fragile heart. The cartoon, in only 8 minutes, makes the viewer think about his/her own life and suggests that you think about big decisions in your life before making them. Perhaps the sweetest moment in cartoon/film history is when Porky goes to see his dream girl and she laughs at him. He walks off her front porch only to first turn around and kiss a plate with her name written on it that is displayed by her front door. Porky then walks off heartbroken. What a greatly sad moment.

Ark (1970)

Very Memorable
21 September 2005
The previous post explains it all very well. I too saw this in a classroom around 1990. I have never forgotten it. I remember it being very low on color and remember a greenhouse and even some people with gas masks acting almost like beasts. It was very creepy and therefore memorable. Let's hope the world doesn't end up like this movie thinks it could. The film might have even been shown in my school on a filmstrip projector rather than a VCR. I have been trying to find a copy of this for years and I just realized that IMDb is cool enough to at least mention it. I would recommend this in a second because you will never forget it.

The Hit Man (1991 TV Movie)
10/10
Good obscure TV movie
6 September 2005
I really like this movie and thought it deserves someone saying something about it. I give it a 10 because it delivers what its supposed to: a good time. Basically, it is about teaching a greedy rich man a lesson. He is a mortgage loaner, and he is in the business of talking people into taking loans they can never pay back and then he for-closes on their houses like a predator. One boy, facing for-closure of his home, decides to steal a car to pay for the money owed. He happens to steal the car of one of the most popular movie directors in Hollywood (he was obviously supposed to look like Steven Spielberg). When the director finds out about the for-closures, he and his team of special effects experts set out to teach the greedy man a lesson using fake aliens and Hollywood special effects! This is a lighthearted movie and is fun to watch. The whole family could enjoy it, but I doubt anyone could ever find it even if they try. I remember this coming on ABC about 1991 and I taped it then, and still watch the tape I made today. I would definitely recommend it, and everyone who has ever watched it with me has enjoyed its humor, special effects, and its moral. If you are able to see this film, you are lucky and I hope you like it!
