Deadly Force (1980)
A look at the use of deadly force by the LAPD
23 March 1999
This is an interesting look at a Police Department out of control. It documents the gunning down of a naked man, who was apparently in the middle of a nervous breakdown. This was one incident during a spate of such incidents by the LAPD. At that point they had the worst record for using deadly force in the country. The film is a non-fiction documentary.

A street person runs for public office
23 March 1999
A person named Ron Taylor, who was at that time down and out on the street, decides to fight the flood of new "poor" laws by running for a seat on the Santa Monica city council. A fascinating look at some of the psychology going on on the other side, as well as a cinema verite look at life on the streets.

A look at coercive drugging in mental institutions.
23 March 1999
This documentary gives a rare look at the pill-pushing that goes on in our mental institutions, and how it serves as a substitute for real therapy and facilitates the warehousing of the lost souls that end up in such situations.
