Police Academy 6: City Under Siege (1989)
What can I say about PA6?
"Police Academy 6: City Under Siege" is the latest in what I like to call the "Police Academy mini-series".
Nothing has really changed in this one...it's the same old police officers trying to make the city a better place and making fools of themselves at the same time courtesy of Capt. Harris (G.W. Bailey).
It just gets stale after a while and I get anxious for the ending to come.
Still, the same old gang the I have enjoyed watching since the first "Police Academy" movie are back and it's nice to seem them again.
Police Academy 4: Citizens on Patrol (1987)
PA4: Not just another funny movie
"Citizens On Patrol", the fourth installment of the Police Academy is again shaped in the same mold as it's follow-ups: the slapstick, the crude humor, and sexual innuendos.
It's too bad that the writers of these movies couldn't think of something different than the same old thing, but what works works!
Kudos again to Michael Winslow and his vocal effects. Also thanks goes to the writers for giving Zed (Bobcat Goldthwait) a new love.
Police Academy 3: Back in Training (1986)
Great for a Sunday afternoon...
In this sequel, the same slapsticks that have been used in the first two movies are apparent and that's what makes it fun to watch. Michael Winslow, who plays Jones, has once again entertained me with his vocal prowess. Also Hooks' (Marion Ramsey) timidness is easily shrouded by her tough side always saying "Don't move, dirtbag!"
Steve Guttenberg (Mahoney) didn't need to stretch his role for this one. It is still fun to watch after 13 years of it's initial release. One of a perfect movies to watch on a lazy Sunday afternoon.
