Mean Guns (1997)
This movie is one of the most pathetic attempts at profundity.
It takes a lot to create a watchable movie out of the pathetic script that must have been placed before the director. So I suppose the fact that this movie is stupid, confusing and leaves you thinking "was that supposed to mean something?", cannot be completely the directors fault. A large portion of the movie is spent in what I assume is intended as deep and reflective conversation. Let's just say. It never really comes off successfully. In truth it is merely a bunch of crude, psychopaths slaughtering each other in the vain hopes of securing for themselves $10 000 000.00.
Some of the good things about this ...movie, are that the actors do their roles well. Every character in the movie is different. Considering the fact that there are almost 100 psychos in one building and almost all of them are killing other people, the actors do deserve credit for the individuality they all display. The music is good. And the clipped action from one murder to another is well executed. I suppose the main problem with the movie is the script.
