Twisted Sister!!!
1 August 1999
Dee Snider, (former) singer of Twisted Sister) is producer, writer and main actor in this movie. In contrast to his band which was a little bit poser-like (for me), this movie is hardcore. He stars as Captain Howdy, a fanatic of tattooing and mostly exquist body piercing with fantasies to experience his body by giving and taking extreme torture and pain. He attracts young girlies (and other people) via internet chat, invites them to a party and finally shows them the clearifying aspects of pure pain. After having captured the daughter of a cop, he gets into a trap and is getting caught by the police. In the court he is found not guilty, but is sentenced to a closed psychiatry for three years. After being released as a new human being (with no piercings and make-up over his tattooes), a new life awaits him, as does the mob (with Freddie Krueger-star Robert Eglund as a leader) in his city. He's beaten up and then hung up high......but that's not the end. This movie really rocks!!! It has a deep and dark story, brilliant actors (esp. D. Snider and R. Eglund), and a real genial soundtrack (Anthrax and others). It does not live of a collection of simple cruelty and torture scenes but more of the story and the grim visions of Captain Howdy. The effects are sometimes not too good, but they are all OK. This is a film you definitely have to watch!!!! I rate it 9.5 of 10, one of the best movies in that genre I ever saw!!!

Organ (1996)
7/10
Japanese orgies of flesh
1 August 1999
Well, the first thing about Organ is, that you should not try to understand the storyline too much. This movie is extra-strange yet lives of its trashy and bizarre pictures. If you like purulent ulcerations exerbating and real weird erotics - it is the real thing for you. Don't expect a pure splatter movie but a picture with intense horror... To the story (as well as I can tell it): a biologist with a big mutation (spicy) cuts out organs from dead and alive people to sell them. After locking up the brother of a cop (whom he cuts off his limbs and letting him alive for unknown purposes) he is chased by the cop. And that's it...the rest evolves... Now to the effects: real cool sometimes, but also trashy and funny, butterfly collections, birthings, slimy blood-dripping...yet not state-of-the-art. Nice soundtrack also. For a conclusion, it's a real bizarre japanese splatting horror movie you should not miss if you want it different. I rate it a 7 of 10, but it has deserved a 10 for cult-factor.

Get your heads on!!!
26 October 1998
Well, this movie is a real 70s trash. And it got one of the best soundtracks EVER. It is psychedelic de luxe, if you understand what I mean. It is a really cool idea to implant a second hand on a person like him...must see it. It's undescribable. It is an outrageous movie of all the trash movies I know, mainly because of the music that creates this mad and weird atmosphere... Splatter scenes are only rare, but nevertheless it's a film for that people too...

Watch it and tell me what you think of it....

Perfect Japanese Monsters!!!
26 October 1998
This is the right film for the beginner in Japanese science fiction. There are many monsters which certainly grant lots of action. And, you don't need to be an insider to understand this movie. There a great fx, probably the best in this genre in the late 60s. And, of course, all aliens are Japanese actors (grin). You should try to get this AWESOME movie!!!

Vampires (1998)
Let's hit 'em!
24 September 1998
I saw it on WORLD PREMIERE at the Munich Fantasy Filmfestival. And it was GRRRRREAT! John Carpenter is a director you can really rely on. He has the right sense of humor that makes this film so special. It has a cool story (hunting vampires), cool fx (killing vampires) and a cool soundtrack (musical vampires). A short summary: From Dusk Till Dawn Splatter Version. Hunting vampires is a classical horror movie theme and is done very well by Carpenter. The cast is also great (Maximilian Schell as bishop...) and this is what makes a movie good. I am looking forward to seeing the German version, hopefully it won't be cut too much... If you wanna see a really cool, perfect splatter movie, go in there-you will be satisfied!!!

Godzilla (I) (1998)
1/10
Judgement Day for Mr Emmerich!!!
24 September 1998
The first thing to say to FUTURE WATCHERS: DON'T GO IN THERE!!!! This 'movie', in fact called "Jurassic Park 3-Spielberg-is-too-expensive-let's-try-emmerich", is the most disgusting movie I ever saw in my whole life! There is NO Godzilla to be seen in the whole movie, thus I cannot imagine the title of the film...Mr Emmerich must have read the wrong script... Well, I admit that some of the sound FX were really good, but this doesn't make a film. I waited for nearly two hours to see any Godzilla - but none did appear. The visual effects can be seen in all earlier Emmerich films combined with Titanic. Nothing new. Just boring. OK, now some facts: if you compare Emmerich's budget (about 120 million U$?) to the cost of ALL JAPANESE GOJIRA-FILMS TOGETHER, you will see, that it is less than his. But each of the original films is indescribably better than this DINO-movie... I don't like it a bit. And, as true Godzilla fan (I've seen nearly all of the films more than once), I hope that Toho Inc. will never again give the film rights away to Hollywood or anywhere else than Japan.

But the worst message was that there could be some more movies done by Emmerich dealing with Godzilla. Here I can only cite from the first poster I saw last year on the net:

"GOD HELP US ALL!"

Amen.
