For being a low budget movie and not backed by billions of dollars- I feel the movie was intriguing. It kept me curious, the graphics were top notch, the sets were great, the music was moving and the environments felt real.

Some areas where improvements may be needed: 1. Story telling- narration through the plot may be useful - as sometimes I was confused as to what was going on. 2. Acting- sometimes the actors needed more depth in their expressions. 3. Plot- I kind of didn't understand the final plot due to the introduction of the new character, but it could be my interpretation of it.

Overall a great effort and I look forward to the feature film!

Nice CGI and background score but that's it

The short film is more of a display of CGI rather than a story. As a first project, it's a good effort by the filmmaker, but I believe that the story and CGI should have been well balanced. Some of the CGI sequences, especially at the beginning of the film, feels a bit unnecessary and random. Also, due to the lack of depth in the story, I feel like many scenes were uselessly extended. Low light scenes have a lot of noise. I understand that the film had a very limited budget, but with such detailed CGI noise reduction should have been considered.

Coming to the story, it seems to be a bit inspired by The Matrix, but has nothing interesting to offer. The background score of the film is very good. However, in my opinion, it's not worth paying for. Not even the great looking CGI could justify the price tag for the movie. I consider this as a type of short film, which should be available freely on YouTube or other video platforms. I do understand that the producer needs to generate revenue somehow but in my opinion, this model will not work if the movie isn't balanced. Perhaps one should review the journey of the YouTube movie "Kung Fury" and see how one person was able to provide such an entertaining, heavy on CGI, movie with a very limited budget.

Tripe that requires bogus 10-star reviews to survive

Believe the negative reviews. While the CGI was decent enough, the story is very weak. I've belched better plot lines. This is another one of those "deserves 1 star for gaming IMDB ratings" films.

The beginning is long and drawn out, with the climax in the last 5 minutes of the film... and a poor climax it is, without explanation or logical reason. This is more like an extended, overly-lengthy trailer than a stand-alone short. Like so many shorts these days it screams "college video graphics assignment", with emphasis on the graphics. The cliche and irrelevant 2001 "space tunnel" effect caps off the amateur level of direction in this piece.

This is a poor effort that will likely tip its hand by the number of negative ratings receiving numerous thumbs-down by those associated with the production. But truth is, it's a disappointing yawner.

This short, teaser film was great! Astounding graphics and a really intriguing story. Good job on the soundtrack, too. I'm all in for this to become a feature-length film.

Terrible short film

The story is thin, the CGI is heavy. Any truly substantial dialog doesn't happen until the third act! Everything else is filled up with CGI, unnecessary scenes, and of course, exposition. And more exposition. Exposition is the murderer of story! Show, don't tell! Illogical things happen just so the story could progress towards the "sit-down-and-listen type of explanation" (which I consider it another form of exposition) in the third act.

The director obviously doesn't seem have watched any video online (or read any book) on how to create a balanced story. This film reeks of someone who came into some money and said "I have some big ideas that I want to put on film". But it takes more than scientific interest and self-importance to create a film. It's a craft, and this director/writer has not mastered it yet.

I paid for this film, but now that I've watched it, it's not any better than the films premiering on the DUST channel on youtube for free. It just has more CGI than the usual sci-fi short film.

I really enjoyed watching this wonderful movie. I didn't expect this high quality of the visualization considering the low budget. Good job guys and keep the good work up! I think I would like to watch a long simulation movie in the future!

Why did I have to pay for an incomplete movie?

For what it's worth, the video was interesting to watch and it left some interest in what the rest of the story is, BUT - Are you expecting me or anyone else who has paid for this preview to pay again when some kind of sequel comes out? Fat chance of that. If that's your intention, I won't be duped again.

Urf. That was painful. Story weak. Horrible voice over narration.

This film didn't really deliver at all for me. The story was not well enough definied or developed. There was too much explaining. There was an awful voice over narration which didn't work for me. It had it's technical flaws, and the CGI was obviously second rate. It's an intriguing idea and filmmakers have to start somewhere, but I think the reviews rating it 10 stars and raving about it are obviously from the makers friends - or those with a vested interest in the project. It is not worthy of 10 stars. Just to be clear - it's not the amateur nature of it that I find tedious, it's the premise, the way the story is being told and there was nothing that intrigued me. I certainly wouldn't watch a full length film version of it. It was hard work making it thorugh the full 24 minutes. Just didn't work for me at all. Advice to the filmmakers - go back to the writing and not making everything a tired cliche.

Yes, fantastic graphics, good soundtrack, make-up, clearly lots of work has gone into this. But: Content? Acting? Narrative? Sorely lacking. Basically a lengthy synopsis to what might come. Depressing. No idea who all the 10 star reviewers might be.

Inspiring, Incredible, Fascinating, Revolutionary, Captivating, Enthralling, Compelling, Unbelievable

This film was truly an inspiring work of art. It was so incredible that I think I shall now define my life into two periods. That before I bore witness to this incredible, mind blowing masterpiece, and that after. My life before the viewing of this film was lost and misguided, but now I now know the true way which was presented to me in a very clear manner by this amazing piece of culture. The beauty of this film is unparalleled in human history and never before has such an incredible and revolutionary work of art be presented to the masses, as was done today The director of this film shall be the Albert Einstein or Julius Caesar of cinematography from this day on.

Fantastic Take on a Classic Sci-Fi Concept

The idea that we exist in a simulation has been around for some time and has become more popular as the years have gone by. Along the way, many ideas have been proposed about what this could mean, how such a simulation would operate, and perhaps most importantly, who the "simulators" are.

"Simulation" cuts straight to the heart of this philosophical conundrum born from science. It lays the foundation for what could be an incredible story of someone who comes into contact with the "simulators" and who refuses to let his reality be dictated by their system.

Ultimately, this mission begs a question that is left to the viewer to answer for himself/herself: no matter who creates *your* reality, who will control it?

The cast is phenomenal. With not much screen time, they were able to command attention and bring me into the world. Of course, this was aided by brilliant special effects (and great practical effects, which are too often forgotten in today's cinema works) as well as a genius soundtrack.

I will absolutely be watching this again and have my fingers crossed that there I'll have the opportunity to see this story unfold fully!

A wonderful short sci-fi film. The cinematography and visuals were really impressive for a film that did not have a large budget! I hope a longer version of the film will be produced in the future. Overall, congratulations to all the cast!

Having seen many Sci-Films, I was really looking forward to attending the premiere for Simulation, I was looking out for similarities to other films, I thoroughly enjoyed the original storyline the entire time you are hooked into figuring out what is happening. The visual effects and editing are done well, exceeding my expectations. Looking forward to watching again.

Brilliant short sci-fi movie which really blew me away

I have been waiting for this film since long time and when the film came out it was more than what I expected. I'm a bit of a science fiction geek and this movie below me away. The story was brilliant and the visual effects were awesome. I wish I could tell you more why so many people, including myself, loved it. So, if you haven't seen its movie already, get your eyes open, have some popcorn, and watch this movie.

He did his science homework & then some!

This was a very well thought-out short Sci-Fi film that leaves many questions unanswered. I seriously hope Hashem decides to make a full-length feature film from this. It would be a break through on so many levels.

I have actually heard the simulation theory before on a different show on television on discovery science or some other educational channel. However, to have a short-film dedicated to the very high thought-provoking concept itself is a whole another level of conception and experience.

If we are in an actual simulation, then this film will certainly wake us up to that reality fairly quickly. The ones running our simulation may not like that fact; unless we have a sympathizer on our side, outside of this universe.

Again, I hope there is a full length feature film expanding on this plot and the characters involved.

The concept of the movie was indeed creative, scientifically thought provoking and a visual treat. Getting this from an independent movie - I would love to see the feature length on the box office. I hope they can do it...!

The plot has twists and turns and keeps you on the edge of your seat trying to anticipate what would happen next. Great Sci-Fi work that deserves to be made into a feature film! Would love to watch a feature movie of this in the near future.

Simulation is a mind-blowing short Sci-Fi movie with fantastic visuals and interesting story line that will keep you hooked till the end. Worth the watch. I would love to see the longer version of Simulation in theatres.
