The youth narrates the history they built

Good documentary on student movement acting in different dramatic situations along convulsive 2013-2018 period in Brazilian history until the election of authoritarian right-wing and defender of torture Jair Bolsonaro as the new president. Script, footage, edition and particularly narration (by three of those students themselves!) are very nice. There are tough moments and also quite funny and ironic ones among the important testimonies presented. One dire thing that is correctly highlighted all the time is how military police may be violent, disrespectful, racist, mysoginist and coward, and how it behaved just like this by the order of the government of São Paulo led by Geraldo Alckmin. Among the historic moments are the protests of 2013 for free public transport (which quickly was turned in a chaos including the uprising of reactionary and anti-parties protests), the protests against 2016 coup and against illegitimate presidency of Michel Temer which shrinked for a generation budget spent in education. The main event, however, is obviously the two waves of occupations of public schools by the students themselves, particularly the first, in São Paulo, against the reduction of the number of schools. The film brings an important issue, has a very smart text and narration, is politically serious and deep, and highlights well the bright of the youth making history (learning, creating, and succeding much more than failing during this incredible experiment).

This movie is deeply touching and inspiring.

I absolutely don't understand how this film can have a judgment of 5,9 stars only.

When I saw the film on Berlinale Film Festival 2019 I was deeply touched and moved by the protagonists and the story.

Haven't seen such a strong documentary about revolting against critical governmental decisions before.

I just can only advise you to really watch this film!
