Toward the end of the movie, the wounds to Maude's left arm keep changing.

The claw scratch on Maude's cheek never bleeds.

When Maude Garret saves the baby hanging under the wing, she's using the finger that was broken moments before holding the ball turret door shut.

Maude hands off her 'package' in the plane before climbing down into the gun turret. She is then seated on the very same type of bag in the turret.

The B-17's ball turret couldn't be entered from inside the aircraft when it was on the ground, as it required the ball turret guns to be pointed downward for the hatch to be opened and there wasn't enough clearance between the aircraft and the ground to do so.

The B-17 depicted is a G model, which did not operate in the Pacific Theater.

In the turret, Maude transmits to the rest of the crew by flipping a switch and holding it. The other crew responds to her, before she switches the radio to receive. This mistake repeats throughout the film.

No version of the Aichi E13A 'Jake' seaplane ever had forward firing, wing mounted machine guns or cannon.

When the 'gremlin' is gliding below the plane and Maude Garrett is throwing ammunition boxes at it through the bomb bay, the ammo boxes drop straight down without being affected by the slip stream of the aircraft which would immediately slow the boxes.

There is some confusion about how the roll is performed in the B-17. When initiated the roll the co-pilot shouts out "Full Left Rudder", which of course is not enough to make a plane roll. What they are doing is turning the controls to the right and then applying Top Rudder, which is rudder in the opposite direction, so the plane will perform a smooth roll. I mean, I think they should wait for the plane to bank before applying the opposite rudder, but generally speaking it is correct.

The US flag shown at the end of the Snafu animation at the start is Heft's 50-state version that did not come into use until after Alaska and Hawaii were granted statehood (1959). The rectangular 6x8 grid of stars was the appropriate design for the time.

Garrett is accused of seeing Bigfoot. The name "Bigfoot" was not used until 1958, well after World War II.

With Maude at the B-17 controls, within minutes they fly over ocean, grassland/forest and then what looks almost like swamp.
