The Karvakuonot takes a flight to Ivalo, from where their Lapland journey truly begins. Elmeri decides they should take the route through Uruvaara, and the trio ends up visiting the Sámi Museum in the village of Inari.

A last stretch to Gold-Joonas' cabin is a memorable one. They travel along the Lemmenjoki river and get a ride on a Joonas' dog Eppu. After some catching up, they all visit a memorial stone for a gold miner Veikko Nevalainen.

The previous day's sauna was refreshing, but now it's time to roll up the sleeves. Gold-Joonas teaches the traditional gold mining with streaming water and manual tools such as shovels and gold pans.

Back in the Lemmenjoki river, Riku gets stuck in the branches. After a castaway is rescued, Joonas guides the group to the magnificent Ravadasköngäs waterfall. The day ends with a perfect meal, a plank-cooked fish.

Elmeri tells a story about a boy from Lapland who finds a magical drum. The drum could talk, promising riches to those who would play it. Later outside the cabin, Riku meets a Lappish man Johannes and the old drum.
