Everyone performed their own stunts.
Travis St. John had the idea to fall forward on his face once the Alien left his body for another host, and convinced Blackburn (against his initial warnings of injury) to do one take with the forward fall. The original idea was for Medical Officer to go limp and lifeless, spiraling down like a rag doll. Travis performed the forward fall with no padding in one take and it was used in the movie. He was uninjured.
When Snake Force Pictures was unavailable to do the visual effects, Blackburn did not rewrite the script to accommodate, and instead learned how to composite and create effects himself (ships, energy blasts, split screens).
No new footage of the "Energy Alien" was shot for this production. Blackburn used all the footage from Survivors: A Star Trek Fan Production and created the movements via editorial manipulation.
The opening scene with the Doomed Commander and the Masked Alien was not in the original script, and was shot two days after it was written because Katie and Matthew agreed there needed to be more action in the beginning.
