They do humanise the transformers saga, it's quite simple though. But I think it should be called "Charlie Wattson, and yeah bumblebee is around".

Anyway I wasn't interested in bumblebee as the protagonist, so it's a great movie for me.

Entertaining but lots of plot errors!

I was really excited to watch the movie but as I was sitting in the theater, the plot seemed very lame. There are lots of errors, e.g. Prime in the beginning of the movie had the wind shields of the truck shape which he couldn't have had on cyberatron before landing on earth. The movie was set in 1984 and the army used humvees, which isn't possible because they were introduced in 1985. Many more mistakes. I don't want to spoil anymore but it's was a "Meh" for me.

Steaming pile of crap

They had a chance to start over and retell the story and they blew it. They pull you in with the teaser footage with all the classic characters in it. Spoiler- They AIN'T in the movie! The whole movie is a poorly written sad story about a girl who is trying to live with the loss of a father. It's basically a "Herbie the Lovebug" movie, except Herbie is yellow and not a racecar.
