Huh?
vytas-6441023 July 2021
This might have been worth it if it were a 5-minute short -- Max. Spent most of the time jumping forward in10-second segments during which nothing happened, where the actors did not even move. It seems movie makers are going as braindead as politicians.

What's Wrong with this Picture?
emortland13 April 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Twenty minutes into this, I had to stop, I simply lost interest. A previous reviewer likened this to a low-budget "Leon the Professional," but I thought it was more like Leon meets Napoleon Dynamite with a couple of Benny Hill outtakes. It was becoming pretty stupid real fast.

My problem here is I was intrigued with the first five minutes, and then it took that abrupt left turn into bad slapstick. Does this get you into film festivals these days? Don't know who this actor is, but he's deserves better material than this.

I am being unfair & breaking my own rules about giving filmmakers benefit of the doubt. I'll watch the last hour and update this. It may be a truly great film, and I just haven't seen it yet.

I well told story about a guy.
kkaldroma9 April 2022
A solid story that wasn't lost in "art" where an anti-hero does what he does best, is not a hero. It was a bare-bones production so if your 'thing' is giant CG robot battles, skip it. If you can handle a story line with a beginning, middle, and end, that adds up to a pretty good movie, here you go.

Best Low Budget Movie So Far
bkterrah3 June 2021
I have seen a lot of movies, low budget and all, but big ups to the team behind this movie, Max will have you hooked with his "efficiency" or lack thereof, throughout the movie, there's a lot of humuor and thought provoking scenes that will have you glued all the way, so much so that i had to create a profile and write a review.

Way more movie than budget!
sbc-6181813 March 2024
This is not a great movie. But it is way better than the sum of collective parts. Dark comedies do not rest on a moral code or character growth as much as they do the darkness of the human condition. Max lives and dies in darkness and the sole light is the kid's smiles. The conflicting instructions to act both down right wrong versus taking a good path to do right are all to common in reality. The ending of the movie is bright but not by the actions of the protagonist. So solid movie done on a sparse script and budget. I love thought provoking and clean low budget movies. Seven stars well earned here.

BLU Sniper to a T.
bangkokhighrise26 April 2022
No, really, this is BLU Sniper to a bloody T. Highly enjoyed the movie, the comedy, poor Bishop being, well, Bishop. The girls were amusing. A dark comedy just perfect for today.

Loved this!

I love a good low key dark comedy. And this was one. I loved the main character. I loved the children. This is one I would like to add to my home collection.
