The penultimate episode ended with the death of Dr Peterson.

The suspect is the person released because of concerns raised about Doctor Peterson's reports. This suspect was jailed for killing a homeless vagrant, he might had killed others. Even in his death Dr Peterson left some clue behind.

Some of the staff at the coroners unit are upset at Dr Peterson's death.

Dr Jenny Cooper needs to get to grips with the unresolved trauma in her childhood. The visions of a black dog, the death of a sister.

Frankly this is all the fault of Dr Cooper. She shot her mouth off to the press. It led to a killer being released from prison and the death of Dr Peterson. Detective McAvoy warned Dr Cooper of her actions.

In the real world Dr Cooper would be hauled over the coals for what she has done.

The first series of Coroner has been far from great. The writing has been uneven, at times messy. As for her personal life, only the relationship with Liam has interest.
