Balthazar examines a dismembered corpse found in the river, but when the body parts don't match up he realizes there's a nother victim. As Bach investigates the crime, Balthazar debates whether to tell her that Lise's killer may have committed 6 other murders.

Diving himself to avoid body parts from a dismembered corpse floating away, Balthazar finds they are from two different girls, and looks fro possible earlier cases. Their only link seems to be with Christophe Guaino, or his psychologically troubled teen son Léo, and their devoted neighbor, attorney Diane Courtillet, who moved shortly after them after Léo fled possible abuse charges. School staffer is also involved, another murder follows. Balthazar continues his unorthodox investigation for his beloved Lise's killer, but hesitates to tell Back the links he found with six other murders, while her teen kids sense the grim marital tension.—KGF Vissers
