Kevin Neece has long wanted to make a You're Under Arrest movie that focused on the villainization of the police via social media whenever a officer involved shooting occurs. He wanted to show something similar to the Ferguson Riots from the police officers point of view. However, he didn't feel that it would be believable for Officer Ken to shoot an innocent black man. When the Amber Guyger/Botham Jean shooting hit the news, Kevin suddenly realized that Guyger's situation was completely believable for Miyuki Kobayakawa because from a certain perspective it feels like an accident that could've happened to anybody. Guyger walked into a dark apartment she believed to be her own, fired off two shots into the dark room believing the man in the room to be an intruder, only when the lights came on, she realized she was in somebody else's apartment. Guyger was tired and accidentally stepped off on the wrong floor above where her apartment was supposed to be. Guyger was going to be charged with manslaughter, but many felt that the charges should be bumped up to murder as there were too many circumstances that made her story seem a bit off, most notably the fact that Botham Jean kept a red door mat in front of his apartment to differentiate it from the others in the building. Because of the restrictions of the animation Kevin had to work with, he was forced to change his ending. Originally, Miyuki was too be let off resulting in a protester riot upon Bokuto Station, which would have featured a cameo from Belldandy, Urd, and Skuld in battle mode, having come to help clean up the aftermath and restore the city using their magic. As Kevin didn't have the ability to visualize that ending, his new ending features Skuld taking Miyuki Kobayakawa to an alternate future depicting the Ferguson Riots in a throwback to It's a Wonderful Life and A Christmas Carol.
At the time that Kevin Neece chose to make this episode, everyone was on the edge in fear that Officer Amber Guyger might be let off for the shooting of Botham Jean without being charged with a crime. Kevin hid a Good Fortune sigil in the cartoon to alert the Fates. A month after the release of the cartoon, Amber Guyger was charged with murder. However, as of July 25th 2019, she is still on trial, and the people in charge of her case appear to be doing everything in their power to sabotage it so that she might get let off. It's possible that in the making of the cartoon, Kevin may have accidentally messed up the spell due to the ending he presented. Miyuki Kobayakawa is acquitted of all charges resulting in a replay of the Ferguson Riots. Amber Guyger's Fate is still up in the air. Will she be convicted, or will her release result in the entire city of Dallas rioting upon the Dallas Police Department Headquarters like the ending of the cartoon...
As stated many times before, the curse byproduct of the malevolent spirits involvement in the Bad Goddess series is that the incidents always feature some sort of irony or coincidence. These are the results of the Amber Guyger trial. In the You're Under Arrest cartoon, the defense lawyer Spike Lee is so disgusted by the crime, that he decides to switch places with the prosecutor Eddie Griffin. During the real life trial, many people online complained that the prosecutor was doing the defense's job for them. Once Amber Guyger was convicted with ten years in prison, Botham Jean's family tried to show her some remorse and Christian forgiveness only to see the social media backlash complaining that she didn't deserve it and her punishment was not enough when compared to other unrelated cases of black convictions. It was exactly as Skuld stated in the cartoon, Amber Guyger and Botham Jean were both co-opted to suit for everyone's agendas. They claimed to act in support of the Family, but really they just wanted to see a white officer convicted for her crimes more than they wanted to see the Family find closure. If Amber Guyger had been given life in prison, they probably would've complained that she should have gotten the death penalty. After Amber Guyger was convicted with a guilty verdict, the Irony showcased itself when a twist ending was revealed. Amber Guyger's deleted text messages featured her making jokes about Martin Luthor King Jr's assassination, immediately after which, she accidentally broke into the wrong apartment and murdered a black community leader aka Botham Jean. The Curse of Bad Goddess strikes again.
Another incident happened after the trial and conviction of Amber Guyger, which could be interpreted as the You're Under Arrest curse backfiring times three (such as all magic spells do). One of the major witnesses in the Botham Jean case was his neighbor Joseph Brown, who was shot and killed in what the police claimed to be a drug deal gone wrong. The police stated that some men drove five hours from Louisiana to Texas to buy weed off of Joseph Brown, and after his death, the police found twelve pounds of marijuana in his apartment. Many people in the general public have refused to accept this story as the motivations feel completely unbelievable for a number of reasons. First off, Joseph Brown was said to be terrified of guns and lived in fear that he would be killed for testifying against a police officer. Joseph Brown was under the watch of the police and very much in the public eye during the trial so it does not make sense as to why he would engage in such behavior so close to the conviction of Amber Guyger. Secondly, it has been stated that it is much easier to acquire Marijuana in the state of Louisiana under Medical Conditions, than it is in the state of Texas where it is illegal. The amount of gas that they spent to acquire the Marijuana was significantly more than the value of the Marijuana itself. Thirdly, it is also well known that Undercover Police Officers performing Sting Operations have been known to engage in theatrically staged situations to put their targets to the test to see if they would commit a crime in a specific situation. All of this makes the death of Joseph Brown look suspicious to the point that the lawyer who represented Botham Jean's family has requested that the case be handled by someone outside of the Dallas PD as there were too many instances of corrupt behavior during the Botham Jean investigation to begin with. If Kevin Neece's fear of the Spell Backlash Times Three is true, then there is no logical reason to invoke the spirits attention towards the next case with another witchcraft cartoon as it will only make things even worse than they were before.
