Mel Vera : What are you doing wearing my trench coat?
Maggie Vera : What are you doing...
[covering]
Maggie Vera : ...ditching work?
Mel Vera : Niko is helping me find Tessa.
Maggie Vera : She is?
Niko Hamada : Oh, your sisters are witches, too! How did I not think of that? Sorry. Sorry. Just... mind blown all over again.
Maggie Vera : [sarcastic] Yep. One big happy coven. Now you know.
-
Harry Greenwood : There is no nobler death than one in service to your charges.
Mel Vera : Thank you, Tessa.
Maggie Vera : You were a good Whitelighter.
Harry Greenwood : [sprinkling a potion on her, they watch her body dissolve into orbs and disappear] Her light is extinguished.
-
Maggie Vera : You still have your powers.
Macy Vaughn : But if Fiona restored them, wouldn't she take them back?
Harry Greenwood : The Vortex Viribus restored my powers. The only thing that bound me to Fiona was her collar, from which you all freed me.
Mel Vera : I think this makes you an independent Whitelighter.
Harry Greenwood : I suppose it does.
Maggie Vera : Harry, you're free. You can do whatever you want.
Macy Vaughn : You don't have to answer to the Elders anymore. You're bound to no one, not even us.
Harry Greenwood : Like I would leave you to make breakfast on your own. Come on, now.
-
Mel Vera : I don't understand. Why does Fiona want to get rid of magic?
Harry Greenwood : Well, Fiona feels she's been used by others to gain power her entire life. The Elders, the Sarcana.
Macy Vaughn : So she wanted the Origin Dagger to take on the power herself.
Harry Greenwood : Well, yes, the dagger would give her the power to control the Flame of Magic. Whoever pierces themselves with it can sustain a massive amount of power without being consumed by it.
Maggie Vera : Well, it's a good thing she didn't get it.
-
Mel Vera : So why is Fiona going for the Flame, also bringing about the blossoming of death?
Maggie Vera : Yeah, that's... from the prophecy that's supposed to be about the Source of All Evil.
Macy Vaughn : Right. So either the timing of this is a big coincidence, or...
Mel Vera : Or the Flame and the Source are the same thing.
Harry Greenwood : My god. That would mean... both witches and demons... get their power from...
Maggie Vera : From the exact same place.
Macy Vaughn : And whether it's good or evil depends on who possesses it.
-
Harry Greenwood : Here we are.
Maggie Vera : Vegan breakfast patties. You really are back.
